The Tunbridge Wells Foresters under 7’s Tandridge team played their first game of the New Year away at West Wickham on Sunday. The game ended in a 4-0 away win for Foresters.
The game started at a fast pace on a sticky surface with Foresters having the best chances to open the scoring , with the home goalkeeper making several good saves. However Foresters were playing well and did put together some good passing movements on a narrow pitch which eventually led to the breakthrough, with Robert Lawrence and Erik Anderberg giving Foresters a well earned 2-0 half time lead.
In the second half the Under 7’s continued to pass the ball around with a further two goals being added a second for Erik Anderberg and also a goal for Jo Pickett. The scoreline could have been greater with the woodwork coming to West Wickham’s rescue on three occasions! Also well done to the defence for keeping another clean sheet and to Jo and Matt for going in goal on a chilly morning.
The boys put in a very good team performance and it is good to see them putting into practice what they have learn during training and also to see them enjoying their football.
The squad for the match was as follows:-
E.Anderberg, F.Wells, H.Robinson, M.Horlock, J.Smith, J.Pickett, Z.Benton,R.Lawrence and L.Nwanosike.
