Sunday 1st February Under 8's v Glebe FC
The Tunbridge Wells Foresters under 8’s Tandridge team played at home yesterday on a bitterly cold morning at Mascall’s School. The game ended in a 3-0 win for Foresters.
Foresters had the majority of the early possession on a larger than normal sized pitch and missed several good opportunities to open the scoring, however the deadlock broken when on 12 minutes following a good passage of play Robert Lawrence shot past the goalkeeper into the net. Foresters continued to dominate and had the majority of the possession and just before the break doubled their advantage when Joseph Pickett scored with a long range shot, so at half-time the scoreline was 2-0 to Foresters.
In the second half the Under 8’s continued to pass the ball around and they again create chances but they could not beat the Glebe goalkeeper who made several good saves to keep his team in the game. Foresters finally got their third and final goal when a Fraser Abbott scored once again from long range loping a shot into the top corner of the net.
