The Tunbridge Wells Foresters under 8’s Tandridge team played at home on Sunday. The game ended in a 8-0 win for Foresters.
Foresters opened the scoring in the third minute of the game through Fraser Abbott who scored following a pass from Erik Anderberg. In the fifth minute Foresters doubled their lead when following a good passage of play Robert Lawrence scored with a well taken long range effort. The third goal of the game was scored by Joseph Pickett in the 10th minute following a good pass from Ollie Plunkett. Johnny Phillips got on the scoresheet with a goal in the fifteenth minute with Erik Anderberg providing the assist. Straight from the restart Fraser Abbott set up Johnny Phillips for his second goal of the game. Fraser Abbott scored the final goal of the half following a good pass from Matthew Horlock, so at half-time the scoreline was 6-0 to Foresters.
In the second half the Under 8’s continued to have the majority of the early possession and they extended their lead in the second minute of the half with Joseph Pickett scoring following some good passing play between Johnny Phillips and Matthew Horlock. Following this the Croydon goalkeeper pulled off some great saves notably from Ollie Plunkett and Matthew Horlock before Robert Lawrence scored the final goal off the game with three minutes remaining on the clock.
Also well done to Luca Caria on a yet another good performance in goal, and to his defenders for keeping a clean sheet.
Finally, well done to the boys for playing some fantastic football in the first half of the match and for producing another fine result following a busy week of football.
