The Tunbridge Wells Foresters under 7’s Tandridge team played away at Ten Em Bee on Sunday. The game ended in a 2-0 away win for Foresters.
The game started at a fast pace with Foresters having the best chances to open the scoring , but with the home goalkeeper in good form and the forwards failing to convert some good opportunities the scoreline remained goalless. However Foresters were playing well and putting together some good passing movements which eventually led to the breakthrough, with Erik Anderberg giving Foresters a well earned 1-0 half time lead.
In the second half the Under 7’s continued to pass the ball around and continued to create plenty of chances. With the match entering the final quarter Foresters finally scored the decisive second goal with Harvey Robinson scoring from outside the box. For all their efforts and good play Foresters could not add to their lead and the game finished with a 2-0 victory.
The boys put in a very good team performance and it is good to see them putting into practice what they learn at training and also to see them enjoying their football. Also well done to the defence who kept a well deserved clean sheet.
The squad for the match was as follows:-
E.Anderberg, L.Caira,H.Robinson, M.Horlock, J.Williams, J.Pickett, Z.Benton,R.Lawrence and L.Nwanosike..
