Sunday 4th October Under 9's v Glebe Tigers FC
The Tunbridge Wells Foresters under 9’s Spartak Tandridge played away at Glebe on Sunday. The game ended in a 9-2 win for Foresters.
Foresters started the game well and opened the scoring in the 3rd minute with a well taken goal by Luke Credland. Following this the boys had the majority of the early possession and missed several good opportunities to extend their lead, however the leaded was doubled when Johnny Phillips shot past the advancing goalkeeper into the net following a good ball from Fraser Abbott. Foresters continued to dominate the half and Ollie Plunkett scored their third goal so at half-time the scoreline was 3-0 to Foresters.
In the second half the boys continued to play well and scored within two minutes with Joseph Pickett scoring from a Matthew Horlock cross. Luke Credland added the fifth following some good play by Erik Anderberg, before the hosts opened their account for the day with a goal scored on the break. Foresters continued to create chances but they could not beat the Glebe goalkeeper who made several good saves . Foresters scored again when Fraser Abbott scored direct from a free kick and Ollie Plunkett added the seventh following so good play between Robert Lawrence and Johnny Phillips.
With the match entering the final 10 minutes Matthew Horlock scored from close range before Glebe once again reduced the arrears. The final goal of the game was scored by Fraser Abbott, Josh Williams went upfront for the final few minutes and was thwarted on several occasions from scoring that elusive goal by good saves from the home keeper.
Well done to the boys on bouncing back from last weeks defeat with a good performance and also for playing some excellent football during the course of the game.
