Wilmslow 7 Mary Dendy 3
Wilmslow made it two wins on the bounce and in doing so knocked Dendy from the top of the table with a flurry of goals in the second half. Missing regular keeper Jamie Gibson, Dendy were trailing 2-0 after only twelve minutes . Skipper Andy Currie guilty of conceding a soft second when his pass wrong footed stand in keeper Leon White and trickled over the line. Concerted pressure from the visitors then forced Wilmslow’s keeper into three fine saves and denied Dendy a foot back into the game. The killer third from Wilmslow came a minute before half time as Dendy gave away a needless foul on the edge of the area and the hosts scored from the resultant free kick.
Dendy upped their game and scored three times in the second half unfortunately for them by the time the last two came around they were trailing 7-1.
