SOME POOR PASSING SPOIL A GOOD DENDY PERFORMANCE.
Yet again Dendy had a different squad of players as seems to be the norm lately. The weather was heavy rain for much of the game.
Both teams played well and it was unlucky that Dendy went 1-0 down after a good save from Perry only went out to the Sandbach player to slot home into the corner from out side the box.
With Dendy still reeling Sandbach doubled their advantage only three minutes later. This led to a shaky 20 mins for Dendy struggling not to concede more. Up front Dendy looked lively but just lacked the killer finish of Sandbach. Right on half time Dendy pulled one back and ended the half on a high.
In the second half a Dendy still on a high pulled it level and were starting to look the better side. Good defending from Sandbach and Dendy not being able to take advantage of their good spell kept the scores level. Against the run of play two similar blind passes from Dendy led to the clinical Sandbach going 4-2 up.
Dendy kept trying but again some sloppy play led to a good finish from the Sandbach player chipping past Perry into the empty net on the 90th min. Dendy managed to get last goal of the day. A well stuck free kick from distance was not held and Dendy put it in.
Final whistle 3-5
PLUS POINTS in spells Dendy played some of the best football of the season. New players are looking good they just need to settle in. We were competitive to a decent Sandbach attack. If we can play like this every week we will get points.
MINUS POINTS some sloppy passing. We can't get a settled line up. A very poor turn out at the pub.
Donkey was Sprucie for his slip trips and fall. His goal might have saved him but the flick which led to the third Sandbach goal sealed it.
Man of the match was the new number nine Ant.
FOOD for those who turned up was garlic sausage and potato's which was nice.
