WHAT A DIFFERENCE A WEEK MAKES

MARY DENDY 6 KNIGHTS GRANGE 3

H.T 2-3

Just like in the movie Dendy are like a box of chocolates you never know what your going to get.

7 MIns in Dendy were behind after a shot from outside the box sailed past a static Perry. Just after a nice move from Dendy a ball over the top to Ant and he calmly brought it down and took his goal to equal the score.

The next 5 or 6 mins were a very sloppy with another shot and a free kick both going in from outside the box to leave Dendy 3-1 down after only 15 mins.

To be fair to Shep who started with the more regular players he was strong enough to make three changes on the 15, a luxury we didn't have last week. We managed to bring on 3 good players who have been out of the team for some time and it brought a more defence minded formation. After that Dendy didn't concede another goal.

Dendy managed to pull one back before the half to go into the break looking a more even match.

H.T 2-3

Second half and with two more fresh legs coming on Dendy took control against a tiring Grange and the final score of 6-3 didn't really flatter Dendy.

Plus points

Shows again what good players we do have signed on. The defence did really well with good performances from the back four.

Hard work with quality to match this week.I felt the good banter was back with old faces mixing in well with the new.

Minus points

The same problem of do you play regulars or the best players.

Today we had 5 players who didn't get a game which is always hard on them. But like any other football team if you win you can argue for picking who you believe is your strongest team.

Man of the match was Adam who had a great game in centre mid.

Their were good performances from Curbo Brinc and hamas Danny mob to name a few.

Donkey was Tommy Wake who's normal finishing deserted him until he scored at the end. The guys also said he was lucky not to be sent off for what he said to the ref.

FOOD

THE EGERTON ARMS fed us well with chips and a chicken and bacon mustard dish.
