Jon Blackburn scored a hat- trick inside half an hour combining brilliantly with Jamie Collins on the edge of the area to side foot the ball past a helpless Matt Robinson for the first and then slotteds home his second from an almost identical place minutes later after Nathan Hulley had put him clear of the Dendy defence after a big clearance from keeper Lee Smith. Ryan Stewart’s determination saw Club AZ add a third as he broke through Gareth Worrall’s weak challenge in the penalty area to smash the ball into the roof of the net and barely a minute later it was four- AZ clearing the ball to halfway following a Dendy freekick midway inside their own half an finding Jamie Collins who hooked the ball over his shoulder to find Blackburn again, this time on the right , bursting clear to calmly slide the ball past the advancing keeperfor his hat-trick. AZ added a fifth before half time, Ryan Fallon adjudged to have followed Jon Blackburn in the area and Jamie Collins stepped up to despatch the penalty.
Dendy made three substitutions in the second half and they really made a game of it but a Nathan Hulley strike twenty minutes from time finally killed them off.
