Home league match played on 25 July 2011.
Kicked off at 12:00 AM

An entertaining game full of dizzying highs, terrifying lows and creamy middles...

Starting line up was

mullenz
ketts tipsy
Thariq dave leo
   sandro

subs - Alessio, Vinnie, Kingsley & Raz

1st half

the usual nonsense, Tipsy swearing, Sandro running around up front making a nuisance of himself, Leo & Thariq worrying the defence, Dave worried about chesting the ball with his new implants and Ketts mopping up when i was too tired to run (after about 5mins). oh and Andy farting around on the goal kicks.

Lovely floated cross off a corner saw Sandro head home for 1-0, pretty sure it was Thariq - this followed on (or after) from a number of sweet corners by T that saw Leo have a couple of fine volleys sail high and handsome over the bar much like his take-offs no doubt for Dragon-Arse airlines....

Cruising towards a solid 1st half the Fellas lost altitude somewhat when a speculative long ball down the left went over the head of Tipsy and landed between him and Ketts who- for anyone with positional sense amongst you (not many I know) - will know meant that he was covering me therefore the right back position was vacant - as Ketts wasted precious seconds deciding what part of their striker he should kick the wee lad flicked over to the right and their other striker ghosted in (where were yas Fellas!?!?) and headed it in. 1-1

The rest of the half played out with us having numerous chances on goal, blazing away from all over the shop when we should have been trying to Arsenal our way into the back of then net, instead of arsing it over the bar time after time.

Amongst all that non-target hitting practise a few subs were made - i went left wing in place of Leo, Raz went left back, Dave made way for Kingsley, Sandro for Alessio and T for Vinnie....i think...

2nd half started with

Alessio
Leo Dave Vinnie
Raz Sandro
mullenz

subs, Tipsy Ketts Kingsley & Thariq

i think..........

anyways, 2nd half started well/shakey...a lovely piece of intelligent football (yes, you don't hear that too often in a match report about the Fellas) saw Leo line up a 20 yd drive only to subtley lay it off square to Dave which he met perfectly with his right (only) foot and drilled it into the bottom corner. 2-1 Fellas and we're cruising until some errant wasteful, switch off at throw-ins, who am I picking up? fun led to Andy wonderfully scooping a low shot off the line and out off the post back into play and over the bar for a Looney Tunes corner. All memories of which were quickly tossed away by Raz dreamily throwing his left foot at the cross only to fresh air it and see the ball bounce nightmarishly off the inside of his right calf/cow/donkey....Raz you fcuking donkey!! and bounce beyond the reach off Andy...2-2.

The Lord taketh, the Lord giveth away...repeatedly and usually every monday night at Happy Valley...amen.

To our credit the heads didn't drop, although to the Looney Tunes discredit, it didn't seem to lift theirs either!!? at drawing level.

There may have been a goal here to make it 3-2 to us, if so it was Leo with an assist from Vinnie The Enforcer Chan, perhaps even a 4th by Alessio with an assist from Leo 4-2.

Not long after Razzle Dazzle and Sandro made way for Tipsy & Ketts and a few moments later Leo & Vinnie made way for Kingsley & T.

A final goal was added with the usual flick and kick from Tipsy resulting in Alessio nodding past the keeper, off both posts and in the back of the net from a follow up by Alessio himself - it must be said that Tipsy tracked it all the way across the line and instead of taking the Dave C easy first goal option and bouncing it in with his shin he let Alessio dive in and stick it away instead..his time will come make no mistake and when it does...your grandsons will beg you to tell that story of how you were there to witness the awesomeness of it all!

man of the match - Tipsy.

special mentions to Andy for paying off the ref (now now calm down it was at the end of the game!) even we're (i'm) not that desperate for a win!! and Raz for turning up each week and asking politely/demanding - to fill in for Eddie Houdini Chan and Howie who was too busy pimping to represent...that being said, just for the benefit of all you grumble-mongers..it was a one-off..Raz is working his way back after a tragic accident with both eyes, a meniscus, a shisha pipe and possibly some man juice...so next stop for him as he well knows is hard ass training like the rest of us must do for m7 legal league and beyond...even that lazy wee bastard Tipsy the coach must, as the devil drives....

but hey...who's keeping count?

I was, it finished Fellas 6 - Looney Tunes 1

Author's note - no egos were harmed during the making of this match report...exept maybe Raz's.....(yeah right!)
