A great pitch, beautiful weather but unfortunately for the second week in a row the Fellas couldn't produce and went down to the Legal League's newcomers, FC Turkey (a.k.a FC Hamsap).

1st half. We started brightly and kept the ball really well, especially the back four who looked comfortable.

Howard had our best chance and is probably still wondering how he missed. Shaka on for Justin who pulled his penis muscle stretching for a tackle beat a couple of players and smashed in a fantastic cross from the right. Howard was in the perfect position but decided to try and score with his 'sai-lo'. Unfortunately, it's not as big as Justin's (that's what Dave told me anyway) and his attempt trickled into the keeper's hands.

Howard also had a decent header at the back post and another chance that was blocked by the defence, while our Turkish friends were restricted to just one corner throughout the entire half.

2nd half.  Mark and Dave came into the midfield and Chris finally got out of bed and took his place up front.

Sadly we didn't play well in the second half. We sat back, played too deep and became frustrated. The game looked to be heading for a draw until Emre managed to find some space and lobbed a shot over Andy and into the goal. It was one of their only chances of the game and Raz, who was stood next to Emre, swears he didn't mean to hit the ball there. Just like last weekend, luck was on their side and it wasn't what we deserved.  To credit the opposition, their second goal was decent but the Fellas at that point were stretched and were going all out for a goal. Good work down the left ended in a short pass back to an on-rushing midfielder who scored with a nice finish. 2-0. Good night.

We pushed forward in search of a goal. Ced decided to run into the post after looking certain to score while Howard and Bear were both involved in an almighty scramble that saw the ball hit the bar and somehow bounce clear. If you see a black cat in the street try to run the fu&ker down as our luck right now is well and truly out.

A disappointing result especially against a team that we should have beaten.  Still, it's early in the season and we have a great team. Once we get some good old lady luck, the results will return.

Saturday was my last game for the Fellas for a while. I'm now off to Singapore and promise that if we win the league, i won't broadcast the score on ESPN.

Play up Fellas. The greatest football team in the world.
