Home league match played on 23 November 2009.
Kicked off at 9:30 AM

After our draw against the J-Leaguers in which we clearly felt we deserved more than a point, we were determined to do a better job in this second part of the this doubleheader.

Pre-match team talk:
j-leaguers are as we've seen on Sat good at moving the ball around. so no falling into tackles.
be physical.
defend in our own half.

Line up:
Andy

Justin  Declan

Chairman David Peps

Garrow

Subs: Howard, Cedric, Thariq, Eddie

First half:
We started well, and were very disciplined, keeping our shape and applying pressure only in our own half. The opposition resorted to long balls which were either defended easily by our back 3, or resulted way off target and ran down the goal line. Our midfield worked hard covering all the spaces and when going forward, tried to pass, as the pitch was very slippery and fast. The game was stopped at one instance, as the ref instructed the boss that the opposition didnt have a teamsheet and he started the game nonetheless. Technically, we can claim a win by forfeit... About 10 minutes into the first half, their defender launched a long ball, which Declan headed, but unfortunately the ball went up in the air towards our own goal and was out of Andy's reach as it lands into the net. freak goal. very unfortunate. Eddie came on for chairman and Thariq for Declan. we kept on playing our own game, and managed a few well linked passes between the midfield and our forward, but failed to threaten in the decisive areas.

Half time talk:
not enough shots.
more urgency.
j-leaguers are not as slick as they used to be.

We'll wait till the last 2 minutes of the game to claim the win coz they didnt have a teamsheet if we still didn't manage to get back into the game.

Cedric came on for garrow.

2nd half:
we were less disciplined and maintained less of our shape defensively as we tried to input more urgency into our game and rushed them into making mistakes. backline was solid. we started to resort to long balls as our attempts to build up from the back seems to result to nothing. link between midfield and cedric was weak. towards the start of the 2nd half, justin received a back pass and as he controlled it, the oppposition forward closed him down and managed to get the ball off justin's control. seeing the danger, in an attempt to clear the danger Justin went in and tackled the ball clean. the referee decided to blow for foul and booked justin in the process. The latter was left perplexed at the outrageous call and was refused any explanation by the ref. The game played on, and we conceded a second goal after they managed to penetrate the box from the right side and score from a well taken shot. We tried hard to keep pushing to get a goal back, but it was more perspiration than inspiration. Alex, Peps, Howard and Declan came in for justin, thariq, eddie and myself. And the game ended at 2-0 to the J-leaguers.

Post game talk:

gotta take more risk. More shots on goal. We're not the Jamaican national team and can't pass it into goal.

Weak link between forward and midfield.

Neither team had many chances.

We didnt do enough in our final third.

The ref sucks.

We should have claimed the win by forfeit.
