BCFA University League
The BCFA University League is an amateur football league for universities in the Birmingham area. It is run by the Birmingham County FA and is open to all universities, regardless of their size or sporting reputation.
History
The BCFA University League was originally formed in 2013, but it never got off the ground. The league was revived in 2022 with the aim of providing a competitive and inclusive environment for university footballers.
The inaugural season of the BCFA University League was a success, with 10 men's teams and 5 women's teams competing. The men's title was won by the University of Birmingham Development team, while the women's title was won by Aston University.
Current Season
The 2022/23 season is the second season of the BCFA University League. The men's division currently has 10 teams, while the women's division has 6 teams.
The men's table is currently being led by the University of Birmingham Development team, who have won all of their games so far. The women's table is being led by the University of Birmingham, who have won 4 of their 5 games.
Future Plans
The BCFA University League is hoping to expand in the coming years. The league is currently working to attract more teams from outside of the Birmingham area.
The league is also hoping to introduce a cup competition in the future. This would give all teams in the league the opportunity to compete for silverware.
