History
The BCFA Youth League was founded in 1972 and has been growing ever since. Today, there are over 10,000 players registered in the league, playing in over 200 teams.
Divisions
The BCFA Youth League is divided into four divisions:
- Recreational
- Competitive
- Premier
- Elite
The Recreational division is for players who are just starting out or who want to play for fun. The Competitive division is for players who want to compete at a higher level. The Premier division is for the top players in the province. The Elite division is for players who are hoping to play college or university football.
Season
The BCFA Youth League season runs from September to June. Each team plays 10-12 games during the regular season. The top teams in each division qualify for the playoffs, which culminate in a championship game.
