Teesside Junior Football Alliance League
The Teesside Junior Football Alliance League (TJFA) is an amateur football league for boys and girls aged 7-16 in the Teesside area of North East England.
The league was founded in 1972 and is affiliated with the Durham FA. It currently has over 100 clubs and 3,000 players participating in its leagues.
League Structure
The TJFA operates a number of different leagues for different age groups and abilities. The most popular leagues are the Under-11, Under-13, Under-15, and Under-16 leagues.
The leagues are divided into divisions, with each division containing a number of teams. The teams play each other home and away, and the top teams in each division are promoted to the next division at the end of the season.
Cup Competitions
The TJFA also runs a number of cup competitions for its member clubs. The most prestigious cup competition is the TJFA Challenge Cup, which is open to all clubs in the league.
Other cup competitions include the TJFA Junior Shield, the TJFA Girls' Cup, and the TJFA Disability Cup.
