Bolton, Bury and District Football League
The Bolton, Bury and District Football League (BBDFL) is an amateur football league in Greater Manchester, England. It was founded in 1996 and currently has over 200 clubs affiliated to it. The league runs competitions for men, women, and youth teams at various levels.
History
The BBDFL was founded in 1996 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league was originally called the Bolton and District Football League, but the name was changed in 2000 to reflect the inclusion of Bury clubs.
The BBDFL has grown steadily since its inception. In the 2021-22 season, the league had over 200 clubs affiliated to it, with over 3,000 players registered.
Competitions
The BBDFL runs competitions for men, women, and youth teams at various levels. The men's competitions are divided into three divisions: Premier Division, Division One, and Division Two. The women's competitions are divided into two divisions: Premier Division and Division One. The youth competitions are divided into age groups from Under-7s to Under-18s.
The BBDFL also runs a number of cup competitions, including the Challenge Cup, the League Cup, and the President's Cup.
