Northumberland Football League
The Northumberland Football League is an amateur football league in the historic county of Northumberland, England. It is affiliated with the Northumberland Football Association.
History
The league was founded in 1923 as the North Eastern Amateur League. It was renamed the Northumberland Football League in 1974.
The league currently has 10 divisions, ranging from the Premier Division to Division 10. There are also several cup competitions, including the Northumberland Senior Cup and the Northumberland Junior Cup.
Teams
There are over 200 teams in the Northumberland Football League, representing towns and villages across the county. Some of the most successful teams in the league's history include Ashington, Bedlington Terriers, Blyth Spartans, and Morpeth Town.
