BBOB started slowly with Hangleton attacking down their left and winning a corner in the first minute which came to nothing, however in the 3rd minute, Simon in goal, was called into action with a fierce shot from just outside the penalty area which he pushed over the bar. Jac made one of his darting runs down our right and hit a shot which their goalie pushed round the post. In the 11th minute James and Will linked together well, James ran through the middle attacking the Hangleton defence, he hit a shot which came off their defender and went to Will but he couldn’t make anything from it. Four minutes later and Hangleton played the ball into the middle from their right wing, their forward hit his shot just wide of goal. In the 17th minute BBOB gave the ball away, Hangleton played the ball out to their right, the player cut inside and hit a shot which went into the far left-hand corner of the BBOB goal, 1-0 to Hangleton. Two minutes later and Simon made another save to deny Hangleton another goal. H took a free kick in the 23rd minute from five yards outside the penalty area but fired the ball into the Hangleton wall, three minutes later and it was Jonah’s turn to take a free kick out on our left, his kick went just wide of the Hangleton goal on the right. In the 28th minute Hangleton were unlucky not to increase their lead after taking a free kick on their left, the ball was played into the middle where their forwards shot hit the post and went out for a goal kick. BBOB were starting to get back into the game and pressurise the Hangleton defence, James was played through the middle but he over ran the ball and it was cleared away by their defender. Hangleton broke through the middle of the park but Simon was quick to see the danger and ran out of his goal to clear the ball before their defender could get a shot away. Shortly afterwards Hangleton played the ball out from the middle of their defence to the left, played the ball into the middle where H cleared it but only as far as their forward who shot on goal which Simon manged to push away to his left. Their forwards had another chance a few minutes later but the ball got under their feet and was cleared away before they could get a shot away. Hangleton broke the down the left in the 38th minute, Fletch tracked their forward who just managed to shoot but the shot went wide to the right of the BBOB goal. A minute later and James was played down our right from a good through ball from Jac. Fletch intercepted a clearance from the Hangleton defence on our right in the 39th minute, dribbled past a couple of players before being fouled about 5 yards outside the penalty area, H took the free kick which he hit to the left of the goal, the goalie collected the ball and cleared it upfield. Ben, Jac and James combined well in the 41st minute, Ben eventually playing the ball into James who hit a shot just wide of the far left-hand post. BBOB manged to level the score just before half time when Will with his back to goal just inside the penalty area played the ball out to Jake who fire his shot through all the players to get his first goal for the Club on his debut. Hangleton attacked our defence down the straight from the kick off, a miskick by Simon went to their winger who played the ball into the middle, Mike cleared it but only as far their right winger, Simon was still out of his goal and tried to block the attack but it was played back across goal where Mike, again, cleared it away to safety. Hangleton then had a succession of corners from both sides of the pitch. In the 50th minute Jac played the ball out to Ben on our right, he played it to Will who hit a shot just to the left of the Hangleton goal. In the 65th minute Jake came off to be replaced by Seb. Although BBOB were playing well in the second half Hangleton continued to play the ball out of their defence to their wings resulting in several shots on the BBOB goal and in the 75th minute their pressure paid off, they hit a shot which hit our right-hand post, rebounded out to their player who had an easy tap in the make it 2-1 to Hangleton. A minute later and Hangleton made it 3-1 from a free kick conceded by Dan about 10 yards inside our half on the left, their player hit the ball which flew into the left-hand side of our goal. BBOB did give up and continued to attack, Dan and James played the ball between them in the middle before putting Wills through, his shot on goal was cleared away by the Hangleton defence. A minute later and Dan put James away down our left, he was tracked back by their defender, James cut inside and tried to cross the ball but it was cleared away for a corner which was over hit by Ben and went out for throw-in on the far side. In the 79th minute Fletch came off with a slight hamstring problem and was replaced by Paul. Two minutes afterwards and BBOB were awarded a free kick just outside the Hangleton penalty area, James stepped up to take the kick and blasted the ball over the wall and into the top centre of the goal to make it 3-2. BBOB were back into the game and four minutes later Ben, on our right, played to ball to Wills, he crossed the ball which found Dan in the middle, he had two shots on goal but both attempts were blocked by the Hangleton defence. Ben crossed a ball into the middle from our right, Hangleton cleared the ball out to our left where Seb intercepted it and mad a run down the wing, but Hangleton managed to clear the ball down to their left where their attacker fire a shot which Simon cleared up the middle of the park. James put Will away down the right, he broke infield but miskicked his shot which went to Jac who in turn fired the ball over the cross bar. Final score 3-2 to Hangleton.
