Not a good day for BBOB as they lost both games of a double header. Enforced changes were made to the squad but this fails to explain how BBOB could not pick up any points from either game!
Stuart Burgess returned to the team to partner Dan Edwards at centre back, Michael McMahon replaced the suspended Howard Lloyd in the centre of midfield and James Sansom-Constantini returned to the side after a long absence at right midfield. Jamie Eade occupied the left midfield as Tom Bunting (replacing the suspended Matt Barton) & Adam Craig (Skin) played up front.
BBOB started the first game the stronger team and took a deserved lead in the eleventh minute after a fantastic solo run and cross from Jamie Eade found Adam Craig (Skin) some 12 yards out and his well struck shot fired past the opposition keeper. BBOB had further chances to extend their narrow lead but somehow couldn’t find it! The View defence and goalkeeper held up strong! After 17 minutes and completely against the run of play The View equalised after an error at the BBOB back line lead to a quick attack. The ball eventually found its way to an unmarked opposition forward, his fierce shot was well saved by Craig Watson but the ricochet fell to another View forward who fired the ball in, despite Craig Watson getting a hand to it!
The second half started perfectly for The View! An error made as BBOB kicked off, caught the BBOB midfield and defence napping. The View worked the ball well and found a forward in space and from 12 yards out his low shot sent Craig Watson the wrong way and gave The View the lead. In the next 29 minutes BBOB tried to get something from the game but somehow the ball stayed out of the opposition's net! The effort was always there but there was no end product, as the View defence and goalkeeper continued to frustrate the BBOB team!
Eighteen minutes from time player-manager Steve Maskell replaced James Sansom-Costantini at right midfield and with just three minutes left centre back Dan Edwards picked up a calf injury and was replaced by Ben Wheatland. The result finished BBOB 1 The View 2
