Home league match played on 26 October 2013.
Kicked off at 1:30 PM

After the previous week's shocking defeat, lessons were very quickly learned in this season's second encounter against an almost unrecognisable Southwick Rangers team! Goalkeeper Craig Watson started his second game of the season, the back four remained the same, and Michael (Titch) McMahon returned to the starting line up to replace the absent Chris Thomas. Dan Buchanan returned to play at left midfield at the expense of the 'benched' Jamie Eade. Lee (Chief) Madigan returned to partner John Tibbs at centre forward, leaving Gavyn Mewett also on the 'bench'. The third person on the 'bench' was Ed Wyeth, a welcome return from his long term injuries, as well as his very recent wedding and honeymoon!

BBOB controlled this game from the beginning; they kept the ball on the ground, passed it around and created chances before they finally took the lead in the 20th minute. The first goal came from some good passing work down the left and from a Ryan Satterly cross, Howard Lloyd teed up John Tibbs just inside the box, he fired a low shot beyond the Southwick keeper to claim his first BBOB goal! Five minutes later a cross field pass found left midfielder Dan Buchanan in space and his well-placed diagonal shot beat the Southwick keeper and was buried into the far corner of the net!

BBOB settled down completely after this and continued to move the ball well. On a number occasions right winger Tom Marshall beat his man but was unable to find that perfect cross to create the third goal. When the third goal finally did arrive it was at the perfect moment, just before half time, and it was a carbon copy of the second goal. With BBOB breaking quickly, a cross field ball again found Dan Buchanan in space and he once again fired a shot into the bottom right hand corner of the opposition's net.

The second half was no different for BBOB in terms of possession, although the Southwick Rangers defence appeared to be performing better! The Southwick Ranger's linesman also played his part with some controversial offside decisions. Lee (Chief) Madigan was played in from close range and buried his shot past the Southwick keeper but he was cruelly judged to be offside. BBOB didn't not allow this to hinder them and in the 60th minute, not long after replacing John Tibbs, centre forward Jamie Eade latched onto a through ball from Howard Lloyd and narrowly beat the on-rushing keeper to poke the ball into an empty net to make the score 4 nil.

Ed Wyeth entered the field of play for the first time in around 12 months, replacing Tom Marshall at right midfield and five minutes after this Gavyn Mewett replaced Dan Buchanan at left midfield. Shortly after this BBOB were reduced to ten men after Lee (Chief) Madigan had to leave the pitch with a suspected pulled hamstring. BBOB battled on and managed to force another goal in the 75th minute, after some good passing play down the right involving Ed Wyeth, Howard Lloyd's cross found Michael (Titch) McMahon in space just inside the Southwick area, Titch fired his volley into the bottom left hand corner of the opposition's net.

This was the perfect response to the previous week's game with outstanding performances throughout the team in both halves! Goalkeeper Craig Watson had nothing really to deal with as the BBOB defence held up strong throughout to produce the second clean sheet of the season!
