Away league match played on 01 March 2014.
Kicked off at 2:30 PM

The second game of the day saw BBOB starting with the same line up as the first game (although the formation had changed from 4-4-2 to 4-5-1). Once again they started well and this time did not concede! BBOB took the lead in the first minute, when Matt Barton converted a Dan Kuxhaus free kick into the six yard box with his head (or was it his face?!). This immediately boosted BBOB’s energy levels but they were unable to fully take control of the game, Midway were staring to create and forced a great save out of Ryan Satterly, who dived to his right to prevent a certain goal. There was also a long range effort that was just tipped over the bar by the BBOB keeper! Right back Paul Barton was able to block a shot inside the six yard box but somehow the ball deflected goal bound but was brilliantly cleared off the line by left back Gavyn Mewett.

This was as close as Midway got in the first half, in the 21st minute, Matt Barton won the ball in Midfield and played left winger Dan Buchanan into space, he took a touch and from a very tight angle was able to fire his shot inside the near post and into the net. As half time approached Matt Barton was played in from the half way line, he cut the ball back to Dan Kuxhaus who instead of hitting his shot first time took a couple of touches to tee up a right foot shot, only to fire the ball wide from 12 yards.  Half time 0-2.

Only two half time change was made this time, centre back Adam Leaver was replaced by Tom Bunting and Tom Marshall was replaced by John Tibbs.  Midway created very little, despite a fair amount of possession. Their best chance came from a corner, where a close range effort bounced on top of the BBOB cross-bar. With 20 minutes left midfielder Howard Lloyd was replaced by Ben Laingchild, who played as the lone striker. With five minutes to go Matt Barton closed down the keeper on the edge of the area, and managed to retrieve the ball, his first time cross found Ben Laingchild with the whole goal at his mercy and only two yards out but somehow the ball bounced off him and narrowly wide!!

The score remained at two nil, giving BBOB two wins in one day for the first time ever! These were two impressive wins after such a long break from playing, on a sometimes dodgy pitch against determined opposition!
