Thursday - Saturn recorded the 4th back-to-back wins, only second to their history. This brings back the glory days of the 2011/12 champions season.
Kapsiao.com recorded the statement from coach Mr X in saying, "We are in form now and we look forward for the 5th win the next game.". On how brainless BSLau's play, Mr X said to Ah Kua "I have to apologise to those watching live as I was using fault language on Lau at that moment. I lost my control to be honest and I was speechless afterwards. But I mean to swear at him on the potential offsite and loosing the 2nd goal". Mr X was referring to the incident where Yee Chard dribbled passed 4 players and rounded the Moto GK, on a solo. BSLau appeared from nowhere and attempted to interfere with the goal, when there was clearly for Yee Chard's tap-in from an empty net. RS fans was booing BSLau and asking for BSLau's head to be chopped.
Saturn was down 0-1 in the 14th minute when a hesitation from DC TKTan unable to prevent Moto winger passing thru with a strike. GK Zhui can only half parry the ball but it went into the net.
Saturn equalized soon 5 minutes later. Speedy Moca Hooi found some spaces on the left wing, after a neat one-two passing from the in-form Earn Ming, and Moca found the advancing Andrew. Nicknamed gangster, Andrew poked the ball passed Moto defender after the nice work from Moca Hooi and relished a thunderous strike into the side net. 1-1 RS replied in style with a gangsterous goal.
RS flexed the midfield muscles soon, controlling the midfield attacks and making noises to Moto's defenders. RS's midfield maestro Sze Fu playing at the false-nine position, dictating the RS's attacks. 2 shots on goal each from Sze Fu and Yee Chard, but both were unable to convert the goals.
Yee Chard collected a loose ball from midfield, waltz through the advancing Moto midfielders with ease. He dribbled to the weaken left side of Moto and teased the Moto right back with a simple nutmeg. When he was cleared with only Moto GK to beat, his magical touch sent the Moto GK wrong footed and Yee Chard was cleared with only an unguarded Moto goal post to score. BS Lau appeared and attempted to steal the ball from Yee Chard where it could be ruled offsite. The unperturbed Yee Chard shoved off BSLau and scored. 2-1 RS in the lead. What a mad display by BSLau. The goal could be ruled offside!
RS controlled the tempo from midfield and created several half chances. RS missed the chance to extend the lead, and the missing opportunities gave much encouragement to the Moto FC. A cross from left found an header and Moto FC leveled. 2-2. RS coach Mr X demanded VAR as the replay showed offsite but Ref Din was not interested.
BSLau was substituted by Mr X in the half time with clear signal. RS needs more intelligent idea and in coming with the intelligent header Nip.
WJ lead the attack and harassed Moto defenders frequently. A looping shot from Patrick and Moto GK spilled the ball to WJ. WJ was fast to react and he poked but mis-timed the kick and sent the ball wide. The assistant coach of RS was seen whispering to Mr X and pointing to the defense of RS. There has been rumours that RS is considering to convert WJ to DC due to the lack of finishing touch from WJ….
AdrianL intercepted waves of attacks from Moto, soaking up the pressure with ease. The ball playing defender marshalled the defense without a problem.
WJ missed the most simplest tap in chance but 5 minutes later he scored the most difficult goal for RS. After a midfield tussled, Allan cleared the ball to Nip. Nip lost the ball but the combined pressured from EarnMing and Patrick won the ball back from midfield. Moto won a ball back and sent it high. A clearance header from Andrew found WJ. WJ raced thru, noticing moto GK was out of position, WJ volleyed from 30 meters away from the post and strike thru the net. 3-2 a super volley made RS in the leading position.
Minutes later moto sent a high ball from right, the advancing and speedy winger managed to by-pass TKTan. Despite the efforts in blocking the advancing winger but to no avail TKTan was beaten. Just when the Moto winger waved off the ball-grabbing hand from TK's physical challenge, Andrew sent a flying tackle and intercepted the ball and brought down the winger. Moto physio has to check on the grass-eating moto winger, game halted for 2 minutes to allow treatment to the moto winger.
The ball-wining midfield gangster put up a gigantic display, and Kapsiao.com voted Andrew MoM.
Post match interview by Axtro CN8888, Mr X said "MoM is a no brainer to me, Andrew deserved it. 1 goal, 1 assist, 1 flying tackle. All 3 important milestones changed the game!" On the future of BSLau after the attempt to steal the goal and could put the 2nd goal in offsite position, Mr X said "Yes BSLau is making headlines nowadays without putting solid display. We will conduct internal review of the situation and will see what action needed. Maybe suspending for 1 game so that he can learn and improve… maybe including sending him to Soh Chin Aun coaching clinic…the other option is to have Nip with intelligent header mentor BSLau… these are the options and we'll decide later."
