8 August (Agilent) - Despite the poor display and understrength in defensive department, the strong Saturn spirit preveil and winning over Intel SDM with the final score of 4-2.
Saturn started with 9 men on the field versus the full squad Intelliers. New Saturn Andrew managed his first goal for the Saturn during a defensive misshape from Intellier, 5 minutes into the first half. 1-0. The little midfield ball-winner put up solid display in winning back the balls for Saturn from Intellier.
The Intellier regrouped with KC Chan commanding the central defense of Intellier, supported by Dhillion running in midfield, and Douglas constant threats down on right flank, manage to keep the scoreline of 1-0 and causing some troubles within Saturn's defensive line.
Saturns are without their usual keeper, has to resort in installing their leading goal scorer to guard the post for the 1st half. Saturns made the scoreline to 2-0 with some crisp display of SK placing an accurate pass to BoonKiat, with the latter calmly drill the ball to the left corner of Intel SDM. A trademark goal by BK.
Into second half, Saturn made some tactical changes, restoring their leading goal scorer Wong to lead the striker department and having giant backup keeper guading the post.
Encouraged by the weaker defensive lineup of Saturns, and wasteful chances of Saturns, the Intellier smelled the chances and piled up attacks. A long ball by Intellier caught the Saturn defence unable to manage the bouncing ball and the Intellier right-winger collected the ball and shot past the tall man. 2-1 Intellier saw some hope and some choppy defensive display of Saturns' allowed set pieces and putting wave of pressures Saturn.
Dispite some well-handling and reflective save by Saturn keeper, the Intellier managed to level the scoreline to 2-2, after another intercepted backpass. This time the Saturn backup keeper can only finger-tipped the powerful ball and not able to parry the ball away from goal.
on the restart kick, Saturn's Wong stinged Intellier with yet another trademark powerful long shot from the middle of the field on a second touch. 3-2 the mad Saturns sworn back in restoring the pride.
2 minutes before the final whistle, Chin Leong of Saturn found BK unmarked in the D and BK fired home an unstoppable 6th goal of the game. 4-2 and the Saturn registered another win.
