22August (Agilent) - Saturn justified their leadership in the social game category with the 5th win in a row. The 5th won was the game versus Moto-Alt with 1-0 the final score.
The Saturn also recorded their first cleansheet in 4 months, the last time the Saturn kept a clean sheet was a 2-0 won on 4th April 2012 over Dragon Boy.
Moto-Alt chalked up an impressive display in their first game with Saturn, although they turned up with 2 players shortage and loaned from Saturn. Saturn's KW and Jerome donning opposition colour as a result.
Jerome started brightly with Saturn's TK having a moment of nightmare, a teasing cross from right sided of MotoAlt flew in 2 inches higher than the giant TK can jump, landed at a perfect heading spot for Jerome. Jerome headed the powerful ball straight to Saturn's reliable keeper. Much to the relieve of Saturn the scores stayed at 0-0.
Midway through the first half, a brave block by HWChan of Saturn outside the edge of the dangerous area saw the defender injured and forced to retire from the game. The speedy powerful shot from Nanda of MotoAlt appeared to have hit HWChan's wrist, and the saturn defender suffered a broken wrist. Saturn CheeWei came in as the only substitute for Saturn (after Saturn's winger Lau failed to turn up). Changing to pilot uniform and flying a plane during a football game is a big no no, needless to say.
Anyway, game went on with much dramatical events with both Saturns SK and Wong lost their heading and shooting bearing with clear chance unconverted to goals. Referee Baharuddin showed the first sign of woody attitude by awarding freekick to MotoAlt at the edge of the D, when Andrew of Saturn was being signaled as high-boot on a MotoAlt players. Ironically the MotoAlt player was twice the height of Andrew! Referee must have thought Andrew was dancing Sexy Ballad with boot over the head. First half ended with 0-0.
Second half started with brisk of rain, but never the rain deterred the minds of the brave Saturns (except one that never came). Saturn put up pressures to MotoAlt, a clearance from GK and after some ball bouncing, Saturn's deadly striker BHWong hit the ball with power and slip passed MotoAlt's keeper. 1-0 and the average 1-goal-per-game striker continue to deliver goal for Saturn.
Woody refeering brought the game to disharmony with a controvertial throw in awarded to MotoAlt which never was touched by Edwin. Some controvertial freekicks rewarded to MotoAlt brought much pressures to the defensive lines of Saturns. Lucky for the Saturns with their Keeper in form in blocking several shots and the game reading TK heading several bombarding crosses away.
one brilliant crossing from the right wing of Saturn with BHWong heading a powerful header goal bound on target. MotoAlt keeper blocked the header over the bar. much aplause to the point blank save of MotoAlt keeper, referee was flying against the gravity by awarding goal kick to MotoAlt! Saturn protested the decision and the referee was unmoved with the decision.
MotoAlt failed to convert chances and Saturn cruised to victory with the final score line as 1-0.
