12 Sept (Agilent) - 5 goals scored by Spartans ended winning streaks of Saturns with only 1 reply.

In the post match interview by TeamStats, the Saturns captain of the match KC was heard saying, "We wont play the Spartans anymore, at least not for this year any more game with them.". Asked the reason why and the captain sportingly decline to comment further.

The first goal of the game was a blunder from Saturn's giant keeper with an unusual mistake. A powerful freekick shot by Spartan with no danger to Saturn's TK, however the Saturn's keeper could not hold the ball well and let the ball spinned into his own net. A world class keeper with a Division 3 blunder, some may have said...

Saturn in their usual fighting spirits almost turn a goal level by the attacking trio, this time lead by Haniff, Chon Seng and Jerome. Several shots were made by the Spartans keeper handled well without a sweat.

The defense line of Saturns' was not at their usual peak, a counter attack by Spartans saw the Spartans striker managed to get passed the central defender with only 1:1 situation with the Saturn's TK. TK managed a point blank save, but the ball rolled into the Spartan forward Wah and he took the opportunity and slot home Spartan's second goal of the game. The Saturn's defence line didnt move and wasnt able to respond to the block shot to clear the danger. 2-0 was the scored.

Saturn pressured Spartans, unsporting shouts by the Spartans for once resulting some tensions on the field with referee calling for calm and handshakes between Saturn's Andrew and Spartan's Wah.

A good professional fault by Saturn's Allan while Spartan's speedy forward Wah managed to get passed from midfield, outside the box, saw referee branded Allan a yellow card. Wah stepped up and curl the freekick over Saturn's wall, Saturn's TK managed to read the move and parried the ball away. Spartan was so hot at that time with their movement and attacks in the attempts to find more goals.

several crossed by Saturn's wingers Lau and Davis unable to find the target, and several shots by Haniff unable to trouble Spartan. Midfield engine room of Saturns was roaring and in distress but many of the passes were intercepted. First half ended with the Saturns 2-0 down.

Tactical changes were called upon for the second half. Saturn certainly hoping to comeback to the game.

A counter attack from Spartan once more expose the weakness with insufficient midfield coverage and the defence line too high, resulted a right winger of Spartan managed a powerful shot from close range inside the D. Saturn's keeper only managed a finger-tip touch but the ball still flew thru the top left corner. 3-0 the scores by now.

Saturn kept trying and Andrew managed a shot after some good works from the midfield. the shot was scrambling thru Spartan's defenders and Chong Seng stole the chance and hit Spartan with a power shot. 3-1 there is light at the end of the tunnel for the Saturns.

Another counter attack from Spartan saw the speedy forward Wah managed to cut the ball from right into central D area of Saturns. A curling shot by Wah to the left side of Saturn and the keeper TK only managed to eat grass. 4-1 the scoreline read.

Tensions mounting and Saturn piling pressures. Saturns' KC pressured the attacks of Spartan from left, and another Spartan's player elbowed Saturn's KC, resulting some harsh words exchanged. Referee waved played on. Yet another aggressive display by Spartans.

the 5th goal of Spartan came from a Penalty spot kick by Wah, claiming his hatricks. This time it was a pressure from Andrew that resulting Spartan fall from within the box and referee pointed to the spot. Spartan players felt it was a foul and shouted at Saturn's Andrew. Looks like Spartan like to shout instead of letting the referee to judge in a professional friendly game. Saturn's keeper TK moved to left while Wah shot to the middle of the goal, with TK still managed to tip, but the penalty shot was too powerful to block. TK wished he has longer hand to block the shot but the score still read 5-1 regardless.

Saturns lost the game to 5-1 as the result.
