27 March (Agilent) - Maverick TomYamGong inspired midfield combined with goal scoring defender made the headline today and overshadowing the turning point goal of Jerome. Intel PP team were taught a lesson for loosing 6 goals to 1 despite taking the lead.
Intel PP looked sharp up front with plenty of energetic armour in the first 10 minutes of play. As usual the slow start of RS allow Intel PP into game. The self-style master dribbler of RS Lau gave up posession by passing the ball straight to Intel PP's attacking midfielder under no pressure. Intel PP's player releashed a powerful unstoppable shot that flew pass RS Keeper Wong. RS were down 0-1 and the angry RS fans were reportedly seen busy hacking Lau's banking account to investigate how much $ Lau received ... :)
RS started to exploit weakness of Intel PP of the weak defendings, in 20mins the equaliser came not long after, with a crossing from Lau and Kah Weng headed the goal. The recently-trained under Thai U-30 KW celebrated with a Thai dance.
Soon after the leveling, RS took the lead and putting the scoreline to 2-1 after a rolling cross by the roaring attacking enginene Chon Seng met Jerome with inch-perfect tap in. RS feeling relief with the success tap in. Perhaps intel PP defence need much psychological controling to the physical of fearful charging of Jerome...
By this time intel PP looked disintegrated. Former star players of WhiteBayan, now intel PP's KY despite looked out of touch on football for too long, still posses some attacking and passing magics. Intel PP's super star Cheah Zen was tightly marked by Saturn's SK and was short of chance. Not help by the poor passing, Intel PP lost possession too often too easily.
Thumbs up to the battling defensive midfield display anchored by Seng Bak, RS were not short of opportunity. BK tried several loops but accuracy was somehow off target. Seng Bak took charged on taking corner and showed Lau what a good corner meant. SB's corner inch-perfectly delivered to the tower TK. TK headed the ball goalbound and hand-handled by intel PP's right back. Angry TK shouted handball but referee replied "tak nampak" and the offender intel PP defender smiled. TK was denied the right of goal scoring and the referee blewed for end of first half. "It was a blatant and clear handball while the inexperience intel PP defender already quietly admitted it, but the referee just said tak nampak...", TK complaint to Astxo 888 later in the post match interview. Replay has confirmed the handball, and FIFA spokesperson is waiting the official match report from referee... no further action is expected to be taken on referee.
Saturn's goal mouth was managed by Wong in the 1st half, good team spirit saw 2 volunteers taking over to safe-keep the goal for second half.
Wong of Saturn tried from long range that shocked PP's keeper soon after second half restarted. After receiving coaching from SengBak on how to deliver a good corner, Lau applied the technique and delivered a good ball to Wong from a corner kick. An easy header by Wong and RS has extended the lead to 3-1.
Unlocked the intel PP's packed defence, a typical Wong put up a performance in rattling thru several PP players and scored a solo effort. 4-1 this time and Saturn took control of the game. Lau was secretly observing how a master dribble should look like, but critics are doubting if Lau can match Wong's dribbling skill as Lau lacks the physical despite a big belly.
Saturn midfield rocks once more and this time Chon Seng another superb dribbler mimicked the earlier goal by dribbling pass Intel PP defenders, cutting in from left attacking but rattled the cross bar of intel PP. As usual the loud speaker of Lau was shouting at far right, perhaps for the reason of distraction to PP. No goal but enough shock waves to intel PP.
The moment came for SK when BoonKiat receive the ball and passed to SK at some advance position. SK converted the 5th goal for RS via a long range looping strike that bounce thru the confusing Intel PP and keeper, went straight into the net. The goal-scoring defender has established himself as, being the goal-scoring "defender". RS looked to have solved a defence coverage problem after KC left to San Jose, in having SK playing as goal-scoring "Defender".
The 1st goal of RS was inspired by the Thai-trained KW, and the last goal was also scored with the TomYam flavoured right leg of KW. KW received a pass by the midfield anchor SengBak, and a powerful 150-kmph shot by KW flew passed PP's keeper into the bottom right corner. RS needs more Thai U-30 training camps of such. 6-1 the final score with RS convincingly winning over Intel PP.
