Due to the on-going tournament, we started having back to back 3pm games under the scorching sun. This week's opponents were new and a group of players from China. First half started evenly match however, it was FACES who broke the deadlock with a long range shot. First half ended 1-0 down.
Second half instructions were to press up hard and search for the all-important equalizing goal. It came duly when Ron smashed one of his trademark long distance free kicks onto goal. The goal keeper could only parry it back in front of goal for "King Durian Picker" Colin to tap in. Sensing a win, Incepcion poured forward creating plenty of chances which on any other day, people like Yiong, Harold and Loy should have put away with ease. Incepcion were punished for not taking their chances with Faces going ahead with a header via a corner and a counter attack slotting past Sherman's near post. Kudos to Incepcion, they never let their heads down and carried on playing. Jensen pulled one back in the last few minutes through a VERY GOOD pass from Harold and Jenny showed his class in him by coolly slotting past text book style into the biggest hole he could find.
This game just showed how important taking your chances are. Let's pick ourselves up and try doing an AOS this week with Incepcion on the winning side of course.
This week's MOM goes to Jenny. He has finally scored his first goal for Incepcion showing you all his ballerina qualities and how difficult to score a goal like that rather than taking boring penalties. Well done Jenny!
This week also saw Incepcion playing their regular night game on Monday winning 3-2. I wasn’t present in this game but this was what I heard live from the commentators.
"Lawrence was amazing. Scored two goals. Was hard. Worked very hard. And our third goal was scored by some young punk. Punk?" - Loy
"Sherman was busy looking at lights. He was like watching Twilight and let in two soft goals."- Loy
"Harold was surprisingly tackling someone. Wait...Did someone just said TACKLE? Harold?" - Loy
"He tackled someone and wanted a fight" - Jenny
"Jenny got swollen shins" - Loy
"Loy busy asking to be subbed after scoring each goal" - Jenny
"Yiong brought the balls but never bring his own gear" - Loy said he was COOL.
Yiong, I understand this is your first time CARRYING BALLS and people make mistakes. On Saturday please approach Jiunn and he will train you on how to bring all the stuffs in future.
"Ron refused to play CB and wanted to DM" - Sherman
This game's MOM goes to Ben.
"Ben was busy defending because the centre mid was non-existence"
Well done Ben.
This week's game is at Orchid Sec at 17:00.
See you all.
