So many turn up for them. Manager decided to start the game with his best bros. Not bad siah. We started quite strongly leh. For the first 10 minutes, we were on top lor. Don't play play. Same same position but this time it was a swee swee through ball from Max. Benny shoot same place and goal again. 2-0. Wah ho seh liao lor. Happy like a bird. So we relak lor and give away a penalty when SK try a karate kick and almost chop off their striker head. Bo pian. Sherman almost save it leh but PUI.... went through his not so bui legs. Neh mind, we continue to play. One cross from the right came in from Max, our team jin good, beat the offside trap and then we got Patrick running in. FREE HEADER! Sure go in. But wah piang, he miscued his header and it went to Sembawang instead. We got a free kick on the right again. Near the halfway line. I go there. Max also go there. He say send into the box. I said, KNN, you got see who inside the box? Give to who? He said got Pat, I say siao boh? I said neh mind, ask him whether he can shoot? He said he can. So ask him to try. Wah piang, sibei swee shot. Curled pass the keeper. Jin solid. 3-1 and then half-time liao.
Manager jin happy. Never see him smile so much during half-time. Neh even suan Kenny. Lucky day. Eagles must be chuat dio to be down by 3-1. Manager says don't give up the pressure, keep going. I also say the same but nobody listening liao. We start with Ron kicking off. Ron was trying to be of use in front and he got us a penalty. Wah this Benny jin fast leh. Ran to the ball just like what our manager would do. I looked around, orh... manager outside. Benny say give me take leh. I asked him for $50, he said ok. So I let him take. No mistake. Jin swee. 4-1 liao and we think ho sei. So we went to sleep again. 2 defensive mistakes resulted in the opponents slotting in. First one hor, they attack down the left. Tio tiang, rebound and the oncoming opponent bang into the top. Second one, 2, 3,4 defenders couldn't tackle the same left mid. He go past Sherman, machiam like kick the ball out of his hand leh, then kick into the corner. Siao liao. We a bit gan cheong liao. Jialat. Neh mind, I told my bros, tao ki lai! Keep the shape. I think by this time, it's happy hour liao because Harold seem to wake up or he dulan the situation and want to do something about it. He got the ball on the right, chet past 2 defenders and crossed. Manager was there to keo durian and head it in. Heng ah, got 2 goal lead again. Agar agar also 5 minutes later, Max pang a swee swee ball through for Harold to run, he chet one and crossed. Manager was there again. He kicked the air and fall down but the ball stopped there lor. Jin heng leh. Then he scissors kick into the net. Yeah!!! 6-3. Steady lor, bao win right? Not much time left lah.. so we ran our kar off to keep them out. Game over, 6-3! Wah, this game solid leh. Everybody jin happy. Manager super happy. It was a jin song feeling. Kenny say this was his easiest game ever played lor. He really asking for trouble.
Credit to everyone who played in this game. The commitment and effort were fantastic. Sherman did a good shift in goal, collecting crosses and comfortably saving whatever shots came along. He even dived to his right (yes, he dived) to keep out a shot that was going into the bottom left corner. In defence, besides the early jitters and misunderstanding, they did well. Jerome wore his heart on his sleeve and was committed in every challenge he went for. He even found the chance to bring the ball up to attack. Dave was utilized all over the defence and justified his versatility with a solid performance, very much an unsung hero. In midfield, this was where most of the action was. Andy is quickly making himself the favourite with the manager. Hungry like a hyena, he was always harassing and pressuring the opponents, not giving them time on the ball to do much. Max was influential as well, scoring one goal and having one assist. With his young age, his fitness and strength took him around the pitch easily and made our team better. Benny. What can I say. He showed again in this game the kind of impact he can provide. His direct running and forward play created a lot of chances and gave the opponents a really hard time. He got himself his first hat-trick for Incepcion today. As we can see and feel. Beating a team like Vintage Eagles is such a delight. With the effort and commitment that we have provided, we can be a match for a lot of VETERANS team. We are 3rd in the league now. Let's keep going. Well done everyone!
