Before the game, our manager gave an inspirational talk (I hope everyone agrees) on having to win this game. Lose or draw and our cup run is over. We had 15 Players as our our on form AM - Pat pulled out due to work committment. Things were not looking rosy before the game as Loy was having a fever and Kee complained of cramp even BEFORE we started our warm up. Nevertheless, our manager was unfrazed as he named an ambitious attacking formation.
1st half
We controlled pretty much of this half as we scored 2 goals inside 10 min. Intensity was high as Clarence got his 1st Yellow within 5 min of the game. 1st goal was a beauty from Daryl from inside our own half. Like father like son. From video evidence, we could hear Poh shouting:" try try try shoot shoot shoot." You are never wrong to listen to your parents. Daryl did as told and we were 1 goal up. 2nd goal came courtesy from Colin. He graciously let Harold take the free kick from outside the box and was rewarded with a simple tap in. Rumours were going around that the ball was going in anyway after the keeper spilled it. Well, Colin did what was right as you should never leave anything to chance. (Unless Jenny was there. He would have slipped, stepped on the ball and prevented the ball from going in.) We could have been 3 or 4 goals up as Henry right leg was too powerful as he lashed the ball over the bar on a 1 on 1 situation. Colin's shot from outside the box bounced in front of the keeper and bounced off the bar. Our opponents finally settled down and managed to score a goal to make it 2-1 for the 1st half.
2nd half
There were chances for both teams to add to their tally but they were not able to capitalise on them. With time running down and both teams not able to make any headway, Clarence decided to make it more interesting with another foul and got himself sent off. That makes things really intersting . Our opponents were given a boost with the Red and poured further forward. Our defence stood strong as we repelled wave after wave of relentless attacks. Besides Clar, Ron also decided to give chance to our opponents as he let the ball roll under this feet and their striker was clean through. Luckily we have our Mr COOL Hair, Roger to make a last ditch attempt to nudge the striker and managed to put him off. Our hearts were in our mouth. Even Colin was back in the penalty box defending in the last 10 min. That a real miracle. How often have you ever seen that???
Overall, we wanted this game more than our opponents. The whole team did well esp our DEFENCE. The die hard and fighting spirit was there. Let's all keep it up for our next game against Sikhs!!!!
MOM - SHERMAN
Sherman was nothing like Minolet and almost like De Gea. Except Sherman slightly more handsome after his surgery. Sherm did everything right from 1 handed saves to charging at our opponent's feet to claim the ball.

Jerome - Making run down the left and creating hell for their right back. Now u need to learn to cross early. Keep it up.
Daryl - Good goal and hard working in def. Till he volunteer to be subed.
Kee - Playing despite his cramps.
Yiong - Holding Jenny back from him going to F the ref. Normally would be the other way round.
Jenny - Playing CB, CM and even AM.
Damo - Bossing the midfield as usual
Clarence (again) - THANKS FOR THE EXTRA $10.
Last but not least, Clarence, you will not be eligible for this Sat game due to your Red card. That's the rules of the league and we will adhere to it.
