Away league match played on 09 October 2011.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

On the whole a sober healthy squad for a change for Baz to pick from , with even Casso reporting in remarkably fresh after his second Saturday in succession on the piss. Gammo and Dean missed out on selection with Coop , Squizz and Lloyd warming the bench today . Despite the managers words of warning a lack lustre start left us struggling to piece together the play , not helped by Pendeford once again lacking any system or purpose other than to punt the ball to the hardworking striker . With the wind behind them however this did cause us problems as the Lawley/Hick partnership took a while to measure the length of the goal kicks into our penalty box. Thankfully , the ginger one was once again up to the mark , dealing bravely with the uncomfortable tactic. Pendefords wingers also caused problems, hugging the line as we allowed them far too much space and time to deliver the goods. The home side huffed and puffed and to be fair nearly blew the house down , missing several easy chances to take the lead . We also had our chances but fluffed them , leaving the goalsnets in a  virginal  state , when out of the blue Gaz Holder flicked on a cross for Acker White to head in at the far post . Despite our dominance it remained only 1-0 at half time and we looked in for another skirmish . It was not to be as Baz reminded the Junc of the need to get basics right and the players responded magnificently . Toone and Pete switched on ... Gaz and Ack began to boss.....Andy and Dan put the graft in and Col worked in tandem with Gaz Wilkes up front . This was a joy to watch as we plundered the Staffordshire side , battering them into submission with a fantastic 30 minutes. Acker turned provider following a fine move down the right giving Gaz Wilkes yet another goal . Then Andy Roberts curled in a lovely ball for Acker to head in again at the far post . Colin was putting on a great show but missed several easy chances to put us further ahead . Baz then pulled off the flankers (ooo err ) and Pete to throw on our man Coop at left back PLUS Lloyd and Squizz... what a bench . The crowd purred in  anticipation , scouts from all over the West Midlands furtively tossing themselves with gusto in the trenches. Within a minute of entering the arena . Acker teed up THE SQUIRREL (4-0) and Gaz Wilkes had pounced on a defensive error to put us 5-0 in the lead . It could have been more but we then got a little bit excitable  and individuals became over-eager to impress . Indeed the Santos boys could have actually pulled one back as we allowed the game to stretch and lost our discipline for the last 10 minutes . The opposition failed to capitalize and the 5-0 scoreline served as a fair reflection on the balance of play . Next week a toughie with us embarking on a new venture with our opening gambit on Pulse..... our £multi million new home venue .Lanesfield Athletic are the visitors and  those first to arrive will also be the lucky owners of the souvenir programme , if Baz can run to the ink cartridges for printing ........
