Home league match played on 25 March 2012.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

There was a good feeling around the Middlesex stadium on a sunny warm morning for the local derby of the home club Stonefield Wanderers against the club of local Hboro lodger, Graham Millwall. The Stonefield changing room was surprisingly quiet with only a small amount of Ryan's milky liquid being squirted over a few peoples faces this week, the lads got out for an early warm-up. A disappointing show of only two in the weekly show of hands this week, and even those are debatably with the same girl as CCTV footage shows Roofy walking out of the Homebase changing rooms shadily... The warm up then progressed onto the game of 'it'... maybe next week chalky. The warm up however showed everyone had a good touch and was up for the game.

The referee 'William' decided to have a bottle of vodka rather than water before the game, either that or was completely stoned and lined the team up facing towards him in order to check studs, he then struggled to hold a simple conversation with Roof and Dave, but at least he was better looking than the Jeremy Kyle star of last week. The game kicked off and was a very tight start, Stonefield looking a slightly better team but there was not much in it, the highlight being Carl Collins managing to win more headers in 9 minutes than he has done in every 90 so far this season.

The breakthrough came when the ball was played at about waist height to Nick Simpson on about the 25 minute mark, he helped it on to the right winger Carl Pullem who turned to let the ball run then hit it after 1 bounce from the edge of the area to swerve it out of the keepers reach and into the back of the net, one nil to the stones. The rest of the first half was again a tight affair with a few chances for either side. CFB did put the ball into the net but it was chalked off as the ball was adjudged to have been out of play whilst the striker was dribbling it through, much to his disgust. When the half time break came, everyone took a well earned break whilst the ref chose to steal a water bottle off the home side, wasn't man enough for another bottle of Russia's premium.

CFB started the second half brightly after a teamtalk straight from Millwall's dressing room but the mighty stones defence, aiming for the third consecutive clean sheet held strong. CFB did have the ball in the net again, this time it was thought to be legitimate after the brilliantly performing Mully uncharacteristically fumbled an incoming shot, however he was saved by the selectively viewing linesman ruling the to be goalscorer offside, much to his disgust. However without video evidence, it remains yet another amazing spot from the well positioned home linesman, his reputation goes before him. The home side also had a few breakaway chances with Nick Simpson breaking away from the defence well and rounding the keeper but was unable to finish, probably should have run into the keeper, screamed like a girl and hoped the ref's beer goggles awarded a penalty for a danzel in distress but another day, another place.

Stonefield then went a bit more on the attack, with CFB's tricky little playmaker Riley largely kept out of the game they had little else to offer in attack. After a few corners and possession in the final third, Chalky threaded a pass to Jake who powered past two men marking him to get one on one with the keeper who could only push it away rather than smother it; Jake then turned on the spot and brilliantly chipped the keeper and several defenders on the line to score into the far corner (if anyone would like a video replay check out the Championship goals round up and Troy Deeney's winner for Watford, was a nearly identical finish.) The Stones then continued to battle well with Peter Khoo making an appearance for Luke O'Brien in the last 5 minutes to secure a very strong 2-0 win against one of the leagues better opposition. Although this was still not enough for Un-co to reward everyone by sharing his sweets he won last week, disappointing I thought.

All in all a great performance from the Stones, just three more wins and the title is ours!!!!!
