Hook 0 v 5 Grayshott Colts.. Sadly the 100 per cent home record has gone.
Firstly thank you for the super turn out of spectators today, in
cold/sleet conditions. No OK and SR this week, get well soon
lads....
We started off brightly and looked very comfortable. Unfortunately, we
conceded a goal through a penalty for handball and then undone further
by a questionable freekick, taken well by their number 9. At 2 v 0
down the boys heads seem to really drop and they certainly looked
quite sad at half time. The opposition were very clinical in front of
goal and seemed to convert nearly every chance/ half chance they got.
Captain for the day was JC and deserved man of the match was ON.
Once again I thought our passing football was very good at times and a
number of the lads are automatically controlling the ball and passing.
Once those pitches dry out we should benefit greatly. There were times
when our players tried to hoof it without controlling it first and
this caused us problems. I'd suggest that we were at least a match for
Grayshott in the amount of possession we had. However, Grayshott were
more match savvy and dangerous with set pieces. Corners and freekicks
in particular and they broke quickly from defence. We upped our
intensity in the second half and tried to match them physically.
