Away cup match played on 27 October 2013.
Kicked off at 11:00 AM

The 35 minute journey to our trip to askern for the 3rd round of the junior cup started bad as jamie housely couldn't be bothered to get to the meeting point on time which made us run late to get to the ground, However we managed to get there with enough time for me to let the 16 man squad no the starting 11 which was

franny in goal a bk 4 of squires scott kyle jake, warbo and rougvie on the wings with wilde n brunyee in the centre gurran played in the hole and parkey led the line we had a 5 man bench of coxxy malik rob conlon and jamie

The wind was terrible, awful conditions for football, the first victory of the day was winning the toss, which we did and we decided to kick against the wind 1st half we set off really well and against the conditions we ad the first chance of the game with sum good pass n move rougvie just fired wide, they kept looking for the long ball to the big striker every chance they had but our bk 4 was solid and wasnt given them a sniff, conditions was making it tough for us to play our usual pass n move football but we was trying our best and over the 45 mins if any team deserved to be infront it was us, however for a team that as won 8 in there last 8 games we was making them look very ordinary and going in at 0-0 at ht flattered them,

Going into the 2nd half with the advantage of the wind blowing in our favour patience was the key here, we dint have to win the game in the first 5 mins. our much  deserved opening goal came from some hard work from rougvie who ad tracked bk won the ball and made a great pass down the line were gurran beat his man cut inside and unleashed a great shot into the bottom corner to make it 1-0, A bit of unrest in there team was starting to show with a few arguments between them selfs, My first forced change came when scott picked up a knee injury so straight swap for coxxy, who was involved straight away clearing with a great header when they had a few setpieces in a 5 min spell which was there best in the whole 90 however they failed to make franny work, who after a 10 hour night shift ad a really easy morning, the game cud av been put to bed on a few occasions but sum wrong decisions and poor misses still left the game in the balance, time for another change conlon on for rougvie can the super sub make a difference as he usually does from the bench ? going into the last 10 mins with the furstration of not getting that 2nd goal i decided just to shore things up, of came gurran who had a great game to be replaced by malik as for first time we changed formations to 451 still with the belief our offensive players can get that all important 2nd goal. And it finally came with around 5 mins to go when the super sub gets old of the ball over the right hand side beats his man cuts inside and smashes a left footed shot the took a deflection given the keeper no chance.  Game over

Well done boys stood up to there agressive play and stuck together as a team played some great stuff in testing conditions thought all 16 of you put in a great shift, its a pleasure watching you at the moment keep it up.........
