From the kick off Easington controlled much of the play but Horden gradually got the upper hand until link up play between Jack Pounder and James Connor saw James open the score on eight minutes. The home side's slick football was too good for Easington. It was soon 2 for Horden when John Bowes beat two opposition players before delivering to Pounder to slot into the bottom corner on 19 minutes. Two minutes later Robert Taylor was felled and the free kick was expertly dispatched by Craig Harbord from the edge of the box. It was hard and low and went under the jumping wall to make the score 3-0. Five minutes later an excellent save by Sam Hogg enabled Horden to go into the break with a clean sheet.
Horden continued the pressure and on 48 minutes an unbelievable pass from Martin Fowler found Pounder who beat the advancing 'keeper for 4-0. Number 5 came on 63 minutes when a Scott Davidson long throw was only partially cleared and Taylors' fierce drive nestled into the bottom corner from the edge of the box. All credit to Easington HMS Victory who refused to lie down scoring on 63, 70 and 77 minutes. Despite this resurge Horden were able to ride out the storm and claim all three points.

Horden continued their very good form to beat a very determined Easington side. Horden started the game on the front foot and took an early 3-0 lead with goals from Jack Pounder James Connor and Craig Harbord all goals were good team goals. HT 3-0.
In the 2nd half again it was Horden who were playing the better and added two more to their tally with Jack Pounder and Robert Renwick finding the back of the net. After this Horden took their foot off the gas and an Easington team, who never seem to give up, got three goals back making it a nervy last ten minutes for the home side but Horden did hold on to claim the 3 points.
