So often in football your performances dont get the rewards they deserve. On saturday the past 4 weeks work and effort finnally reaped its rewards............ 3 well deserved points.
We have been a bit like Wolves.. but now we have more points than them
Again we met up in high spirits and with arsenal being 1 0 down - pretty much a normal saturday then ha ha. But we had 7 avail subs so there was playing for places in mind.
We set up 4 4 2 again due to the responce last week and from the first 10 seconds we had chances. Some great work and presure from warren and nick upfront opened oxhey up and warren had 2 chances cleared off the line IN THE FIRST MINUTE.. the right foot strikes again!!
We pressed again and in the third minute a glorious chance fell to our "Giggsy" bavs headed over from 1 FOOT. Even i couldnt belive it TAXI
With Sean and Matt controlling the middle and Andy and Duff Growing in strength in the centre of defence we ran oxhey ragid. In the 5th minute our pressure told and Matt opened our account.. making up for last weeks woes 1 0 shooters
We continued to probe and create chances but there was always that break we would be worried about oxhey creating a headed chance that Griff collected at his back post like a salmon... did he have a point to prove maybe ??
On 10 mins we broke down the right and Lee skinned 4 players to deliver to Warren to thunder a half volley into the bottom corner 2 0 shooters
We spoke before the game about the importance of the first 20 mins and not conceding. We went 2 better than that and got to 20 mins 2 0 to the good. Matt had another glorious chance to put us out of sight but in seemed as if a land mine went off under the ball.
Solid play from Hease and Hitch keep it tight at the back and allowed lee and Bavs to push for chance after chance. On 30 mins Sean great work in the middle won us the ball and allowed warren to slot home unmared at the back post. 3 0 shoots.

The referee gave a few desicions to "The shout" and just before half time ioxkey had a free kick and a great time to work us, Our Mighty keeper Griff again showing his worth and plucked the ball from their strikers head Peeeeeppppp HALF TIME 3 0
The half time team talk was more of the same and it aint won yet... Some more motivational speeches from Bavs and he decided to take a back seat role and let Glen have a chance on the pitch.. our returning Captain coming back from 3 weeks of burgers and super size me meals in Yanki land.
The first ten were a struggle - oxhey came out of the blocaks and had a go at us. We responded and kept tight. A corner was given and it was floated in. Their centre half blasted a header goalwardsa and griff pushed it out... an unmarked man poked it home - Slopy but not game changing...
With another sub making way Rob replaced Andy at the back with the old man feeling the ofdd sracknel wound from WW2.
A few more chances at either end and then the killer goal came. A "Rory Delap" saw hease launch a rocket right onto Glens newly enlarged Head and it was glanced in 4 1 GAME OVER
But in true shooters style we like to have a bit of a "Mr Manering" dont panic moments with them pushed 4 upfront we were tested tim eafter time even the introduction of Ben into Right DEFENSIVE midfield couldnt stem the flow.
There was one man stood alone, stong and brave. To his Right, To his Left, Straight at him... he held everything and kept our goal differnce on the rise.... Well Done Mark when you were needed at the end you stood up and were counted. MOM

A great performance and the all important 3 points. Thats 9 now and we have gone above Hemel rovers who we entertain next week. If we owe one to anyone this season its them
Nothing but a win will do and we could see us climb to 5th
