Home league match played on 26 November 2011.
Kicked off at 2:00 PM

The Wind was howling on this crisp saturday morning... we should have known this would be a tough day then. We met up in good spirits with an unchanged side for the third week in a row. What an achievment!

The pre match talks were of a solid start, 110% and some revenge

The toss would prove oh so important and im not sure but i think Bavs the captain lost that so we were uphill and into the wind.... this would be a tough start

The whistle went and we kicked off.... as we thought we couldnt get out of our half... the kicks kept coming back and we battled to stay in the game

The first ten minutes were tough we kept giving the ball away and Matt sumed it up " We aint even started yet lads"

On 15 minutes we created our first chance and warren blasted over from 10 yards with that trusty right foot.

We started to hold opur own and bossed the midfield, Sean and matt winning everything and sloting in nick and Warren time after time.

The pressure told on 20 mins we got what we deserved 1 0 Warren after a great cross from Bavs our new found winger.

We kept pressing and with Glen and Duff shoreing up the back 4 we looked solid, some great presure from warren and nick on 25 mins made it 2 0 Nick with an assist from Sean.

Against the Hill Wind but not against the run of play we were 2 0 up - Great feeling

But as ever we sat back and dropped 10%, a long boot from the "Big Lad" and their striker was through on goal 2 1 35 mins gone... time to battle and keep our heads up

NOPE - 36 mins 2 - 2 a corner with the wind dropped into the back of the net... ALL OUR HARDWORK UNDONE IN 2 MINS

Bavs and Lee had done some sterling work down the wings but for all his efforts Lee had to depart due to a Pulled Hammy - Or was he NOT UP FOR IT

Lee was replaced by Bamby - our very own Steve Probert - Straight into the mix after 2 weeks out Steve started well

Half time came and the complaints and negative vibes started to creep back in. A strong team talk from The Boss and Andy refocused us and we went back out on the pitch fired up and ready.

Second half wind behind and down hill - got to be time to show our worth. It didnt take long before proberrt and bavs had carved them open and created chanvces for Matt and Sean. A long range effort from sean stryuck the crossbar... would it be one of them days

NO 3 - 2 and on 50 mins the shooters were back in front sean battling hard again released Nick and the flag stayed down - or did it go up and the ref miss it i cant remember now Nick Reynolds with his second of the game

We continued to battle hard - glen and duff winning everything in the air and floor - hease and conway flanking them showing some great touches enabling us to play some lovely football.

Our fans were even enjoying it "What a differnce to 3 weeks ago" was quoted by a supporter " you look like a team who are enjoying it" i heard from anohter - to be fair lads i had seen you play better and lose

On 60 mins a long ball from conway was flicked on in midfield and Duff bashed his way through (What on earth was he doing up there) beats 1 beats 2 - smashes the keeper out the way and then.......... shows composure to get it onto his right foot and nestle the ball in the bottom corner 4 - 2 and the shooters were clear again. BUT BUT BUT I have to mention the Celebration - one of the Best i have ever seen, prancing like red rum - is that how the hammy was damaged.

The next 30 mins would be tough and as i thought we made a little hard work, we battled and continued to beat our markers - the defence worked hard and kept the ball moving - Sean and Matt tired in the middle but kept going.

We needed some fresh legs so on 75 mins Bavs was replaced By Creaser - lets see what this boy can do, And Well was the answer he slipped into left mid doing his defensive work whilst still getting forward and crossing a ball for warren another chance not taken... would we rue these misses.

Talking of Misses CREASER THROUGH ON GOAL OMG Say no more

2 mins plus stopages the ref shouted.. Rovers made a sub and patsy was on winning a few balls in the middle.. they won a corner on 89 mins.. time to be strong The ball came over and was won and cleared to 25 yards BANG like a professional the ball was riffled into the top corner 4 - 3 but too little too late the points were ours 6 in 2 now well done lads

Great team effort and passion - We are now looking like a team - we know what each other can do and we are playing some lovely football - the league is starting to reflect this.

More of the same, win your personal battles and keep playing football and NO MISTAKES

With a cup game coming up against JC United next week our injury list has grown, a few of you have a week of to rest them legs so make sure you do.

Im a proud man and you should all also be proud and have a little smile on your faces, Revenge is sweet Peace and Love!
