After the 2 disgraceful defeats Ac Milano knew they couldnt afford to lose this one & put some fight in this game and get all 3 points for the manager & Ac Milano.With key players out such as Asif Giddi,Noorul Patel & Vasim Makan the manager of Ac Milano had to shuffle around in defence.
Siraz who prefers a 4-5-1 formation changed it to a 4-4-2 & went with Asif & Anis in the midfield who havent performed to their best but Asif who gave too many free kicks last week made sure he didnt give any away this week & what contribution he made,he played really well & put some good challenges in...Ac Milano took the lead in the 37th minute when a great cross from the stand in left back Arif(goryo)mulla found Naeem & with his header looping over the Valentines goalkeeper it bounced into the goal & it was 1-0 to Ac Milano...It was Naeems 1st goal for Ac Milano.Mohammed (bones) yunus who was a bit quite on the left wing had a chance to score but his weak shot went straight into the Valentines goalkeeper...At half time it was 1-0 to Ac Milano...
In the 2nd half Ac Milano knew they had to be on their toes as they didnt want to repeat what has happened in the last 2 defeats where they have switched off & conceded 4 goals in the 2nd half...In fact they had chances themselfs to score more goals.Lukman who could of made it 2-0 with his shot going wide when he should of really scored,Naeem could of had his 2nd as he hit the crossbar & Asif Afini missed a penalty...Valentines United equalised in the 79th minute when a long ball came over into the Ac Milano area & with Talha Adam missing the header it bounced behind him & with yasin Ayub with the Valentines striker the Ac Milano goalkeeper came of his line which he didnt need to made a meal of it and the Valentines striker just lobbed it over him & made it 1-1...Suhail(steve) Bagas who has made at least 1 mistake in each of the last 3 league games knows he has to do better...
The manager of Ac Milano was so furious with conceding a sloppy goal...But with 5 minutes to go Lukman saved the day & got the winner with a brilliant goal for Ac milano.He scored with a great volley which Naeem set up...The Ac Milano players started to celebrate but the ref wasnt sure if it crossed the line & after pausing for few seconds the ref blew the whistle for a goal,Valentines players were furious but the ref didnt get it wrong & it was a well deserved win for Ac Milano...2-1 winners & it was a relief for Ac Milano,the players & the management team but they know they have to do much better against stronger teams.
Manager Siraz said "one win will not put a great smile on my face but what we need is at least 2 or 3 wins on the trot,the players know this wasnt a great team but a win is a win & im just happy i got those 3 points"...
Ac Milano are home to Walthamstow Red Stars in the South Essex League Cup this week...
