Ac Milano sneaked a 2-1 win against lowly Fairlop Rangers in a match where Ac Milano should of scored 4/5 goals.It wasnt a great performance from Ac Milano & should of played much better against bottom of the table Fairlop Rangers.Ac Milano had a great chance to take the lead in the very first minute but Naeem Khamis shot well wide when he should of hit the target.It was a rusty shot as he has just come back after two months from injury...
Fairlop Rangers were giving lot of trouble to the two Ac Milano center backs Asif Afini & Salim Bhuta with their long balls.Fairlop Rangers did score with one of the long balls but was disallowed for a handball.It was Fairlop Rangers who took the lead,Ac Milano appealing for offside but referee gave the goal.Zuber "little" Patel made it 1-1 with a well taken goal from inside the goalkeeper box...At half time it was 1-1.
In the second half Ac Milano didnt play to their standard & should of played calm relaxing football,instead they made it very hard for themselfs.What Ac Milano should of done is pass the ball around on the floor & attack together.The away side did create chances but their finishing was so poor,it looked like Ac Milano dont like scoring goals.Zeeshan Nabi missed a great opportunity with a one on one chance with the Fairlop Rangers goalkeeper who saved well.Naeem Khamis missed from close range and it wasnt looking good for Ac Milano in getting the winner...
Finally Ac Milano did take the lead when Zeeshan Nabi put Zuber "little" through & with a great strike just outside the goalkeepers area the ball ended up in the back of the net.Fairlop Rangers goalkeeper did dive to his right but couldnt get his hands on it as the pace off the shot was too much.It was a relief for the players & a great relief for the Manager from the sideline as Ac Milano scored.All the Manager wanted now was the three points & shouted to his players hold the lead now as not much time was left...In the last few minutes of the match Fairlop Rangers threw the ball forward to get that equaliser and they nearly did.Just inside the Ac Milano half a free kick was awarded to Fairlop Rangers,they floated a cross into the Ac Milano area & the ball somehow fell to Fairlop Rangers player in which from close range Ac Milano stand in goalkeeper Zahid Naviya made a great save.The goal was right there for Fairlop Rangers to equalise but Zahid Naviya saved his team earning a point instead of three points...How Zahid Naviya saved that,only he knows...
The final whistle was blown & Ac Milano took the three points in a dissapointing match where the away side knew they could of done much better & played better football.No credit taken away from Fairlop Rangers who did play well & had chances in the first half,they didnt panic & played good football with Cambiasso look a like playing very well for Fairlop Rangers...
The Ac Milano Manager was not that happy with the performance from his team & knew they are much better than what they played against lowly Fairlop Rangers.Yes they got the three points but the football they were playing was poor,the Manager wanted more from his team...Zuber "little" tried his best & got the two goals for his team,Zeeshan Nabi who came alive in the game after that poor one on one miss & Anas Kp the left back for Ac Milano did very well.Anas Kp had a very good game at left back as the way he pushed up from the left & the way he puts the ball in the opposition area.Anas has so much pace & the way he dribbles that ball,whizzies past the opposition players is just unnbelievable.Anas is having a great season at left back & i dont think he can be replaced unless if he is unavailable.Zuber "little" was the other candidate for the man of the match award but it was Anas Kp who was given the man of the match for his good display at left back...
Ac Milano players know they need to play better than what they played againstFairlop Rangers if they are to go on a 3/4 wins in a row & they really need to take their chances infront of goal.The Manager said "I am happy with the three points but im not happy the way we played,i have good players in my team & to see them play poor football upsets me & fustrates me.We need to kill of teams like this by taking our chances cause if you dont then you will get punished.We have 10 league games left & i need my players to give a better performance than this if they are going to climb up that table.We are away to Debden Sports in the next game & a win there will give us a boost to maybe go on a good run..."
