Ehsan Afzal was the hero for Ac Milano as he made some crucial saves & give his team a clean sheet.Ac Milano were cruising with a 2 goal lead in the first half but Ehsan Afzal made two great saves to prevent Euston Honved getting back to 2-2.The first save was a dive to the right after a close range shot from Euston Honved player and the second save he got his fingertip to through ball which was going in but somehow he got his fingertip to it and pushed away for a corner...
Ac Milano took the lead after a long kick from goalkeeper Ehsan Afzal the ball fell to Farooq Raza which he played the ball to Zuber Little who put Naeem Khamis through and Khamis made no mistake slotting the ball pass the Euston Honved goalkeeper.Just minutes before the goal Naeem Khamis missed a glorious opportunity by shooting wide from close range but he made it up by scoring just a few minutes later...Yasin Mehboob got the 2nd goal for Ac Milano after a good break from an Euston Honved corner in which Naeem Khamis and Yasin Mehboob exchanged 3/4 passes together in which Yasin Mehboob scored a good goal with his right foot shot going through the Euston Honved goalkeeper...It looked Ac Milano were in control but Euston Honved attacked alot and could of come away with at least a goal in the first half...The home team missed a glorious chance to pull a goal back when their striker missed an open goal from close range.
In the second half Euston Honved came out much stronger and attacked at Ac Milano alot,infact it looked as the ball stayed in the Ac Milano half for most of the second half.Good defending from the back four of Ac Milano and great goalkeeping by Ehsan Afzal made sure the home team did not score.Ehsan Afzal was kept busy in the second half and had to make two fingertip saves to push the ball over the bar...
Zuber Patel (little) killed the game off with a superb solo goal.Zuber Patel took the ball on the half way line and with his pace beat two Euston Honved players and only the goalkeeper to beat,Zuber with his inside of the right foot curled the ball into the back of the net...It was a great goal from the little man.
Ac Milano won the game 3-0 and progress into the 3rd round of the London Intermediate Cup,3 more wins in this cup and they are in the final but Manager Siraz (Khanki) said "We have had no luck in the cups since we have started 11-a-side football and never been beyond the first round but here we in the third round.I'm just taking it game by game and the way i see it every round is like cup final for us.The lads did very well,the players that came in to replace the regulars did well and now i have problem picking the 11 for next game.We defended very well with Adam Polli and Mohamed Saeed doing good job at the back,Yasin Mehboob was solid in the middle and scored a great goal.I just hope we can keep this good run going and it will just make us stronger"...
Ac Milano who have won three games in a row scoring nine goals and conceding none are looking good and they need to keep this spirit up for the next league game where three points is a must...
