CFC contracts v Stainton 500 fc
The match kicked off at 10:30 and so did the goals with Barry Hall scoring Stainton's first goal within 30 seconds. Some good football led to Paul Jenkins slidng a very precise through ball between defenders and allowing Hall to run through 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper before placing his shot into the corner of the net 1-0 Stainton. As the teams began to settle it was clear that Stainton had the upper hand and on 6 minutes a poor clearance from the CFC defence fell to Paul Jenkins on the edge of the 18 yard box which allowed Jenkins to fire home putting Stainton 2-0 up. Within a minute of the restart Stainton had got their third when Mark Roulston's shot fell to Lewis Tidy on the post, which Tidy swiftly put past the CFC goalkeeper, 3-0 Stainton.
Within another minute Stainton went 4 goals up when Anthony Biswas slid a lovely ball through to Barry Hall who ran with the ball, beating the defender with him, before beating the keeper with a shot into the far bottom corner of the net. Stainton then kept up their momentum with their fifth goal, their fourth in as many minutes. Paul Jenkins latching onto a pass, after some good football allowing him to rifle home a shot from the edge of the box. On 19 minutes Stainton continued to pile on the misery for CFC going 6-0 up. Another lovely through ball from Biswas set up Lewis Tidy to lob the goalkeeper from around 20 yards. On 21 minutes CFC managed to get into their stride allowing them their first chance of the game when a shot from the edge of the area rebounded off the post. They were yet again disrupted however when an injury to their centre forward led to a forced subsitution on 23 minutes. However this was an inspired change as shortly after CFC got their first goal of the game, a mistake by Jenkins allowed the CFC striker to go clear down the left before crossing the ball for a tap in from around 4 yards. 6-1 Stainton. On 30 minutes normal service resumed with a very inspired and special goal from Anthony Biswas. A throw in from Richie May to Biswas was flicked up by him before he turned and vollied his shot in off the far post from around 35 yards. This took Stainton into the half time interval 7 -1 up, however an injury to goalkeeper Steve Kingston meant another forced change with Matty Devine taking his place in goal
The second half begun with somewhat of a fightback by CFC as they got into the game, scoring their second goal of the game on 50 minutes, some poor defending by Stainton allowed a cross from the left which rebounded of Mark Roulston's posterier and fell to the CFC striker who shot past stand in goalkeeper Matty Devine. 7-2 Stainton. CFC weren't finished yet however and on 53 minutes they brought the scoreline a bit closer with their third goal, scoring after some more poor defending by Stainton. This then sparked Stainton back into life and on 59 minutes they got goal number 8, a good cross from the left fell to Jenkins on the edge of the box who shot past the keeper. Stainton then made a substituion with Karl Taylor coming on for Lewis Booth. Shortly after this, on 61 minutes it was 9-3, with an exquisite goal fromLewis Tidy, as another ball through from midfield allowed Tidy some freedom on the left with which he beat his defender right on the goal line before pinging in his shot off the far post from an impossibly narrow angle. On 65 minutes Richie May got himself a goal when the ball was played back to the edge of the area for him to drive home into the bottom corner of the net. 10-3. CFC then proved they were not giving up with their fourth goal on 70 minutes, a throw in on the left allowed a cross into the box where the unmarked CFC striker headed down for this teammate to score from 6 yards.This prompted the 3rd substitution for Stainton on 71 minutes with the impressive Barry Hall coming off for James Dee. On 73 minutes Stainton got back into their stride with a fourth goal from Jenkins, when a corner from the right was poorly defnded allowing Jenkins to get his shot away and score, 11-4 Stainton. On 77 minutes Lewis Tidy got his fourth, when he got clear of the marking defender to score from around 18 yards, 12-4 Stainton. On 81 minutes a sublime ball through from his own half from Jenkins allowed Alex Brown to get his name on the scoresheet. Brown run with the ball into the CFC penalty area before slotting the ball past the goalkeeper, 13-4 Stainton. Another through ball from Jenkins on 88 minutes alowed Biswas to get a second goal for himself, driving the ball home from inside the box, 14-4 Stainton. Stainton then wrapped things up with a well placed free kick, into the top left hand corner by Tidy for his fifth of the game on 88 minutes.
Man of the match - Paul Jenkins, bossed the midfield with several well placed and key passes which led to goals, whilst still getting 4 goals himself.
