Huntsman started this game off the back of a poor result last week and in the hope that the cup would lead to a better vein of form.
With only 5 minutes of the game gone they got off to a flyer. Alex Brown running onto a through ball from Richie May before sliding the ball past the Clairville goalkeeper. 1 – 0 Huntsman.
Although Huntsman had the best of the play it took until the 18th minute for them to extend their lead, a long run into the box from Brown left him to cross, but when the ball rebounded back out to him he was left to fire a strong effort past the keeper from around 15 yards.
In the 24th minute Brown had his hat trick. A good cross from Shaun Jenney was only half cleared to Brown who deftly fired the ball home from the edge of the box. 3 – 0 Huntsman.
A hamstring injury to Andy King led to him being replaced by Stuart Murphy, with Alex Brown moving up front alongside Wayne Duckworth.
2 minutes later this change paid off with a ball across from Duckworth to Brown was fired home from 20 yards. 4 - 0 Brown and 4 – 0 Huntsman.
It took until the 39th minute for Clairville to get and effort at goal, with a corner being fired over by the clairville player.
With Brown determined to be noticed today he got himself in the book, with a yellow card for not retreating.
Half time saw another Huntsman change with Duckworth being replaced by Matty Devine.
3 minutes later Huntsman made their third and final change after a good challenge from May led to him suffering a shoulder injury and being replaced by James Dee.
In the 50th minute Brown was back at it, this time a ball through the defence by Devine set Brown off to run in and slot the ball past the Clairville keeper a fifth time. 5 – 0 Huntsman.
After a few missed chances from Anthony Biswas, it took another midfielder to break the run of goals by Brown and a cross come shot from Shaun Jenney eluded the keeper and found the back of the net from the corner of the 18 yard box. 6 -0 Huntsman.
With only 10 minutes left of the game a corner from the left found the Head of Paul Jenkins but this powerful downwards effort was held on the line by the keeper.
With 5 minutes to play a second effort from Jenkins made amends finding the back of the net from around 12 yards after a nicely played ball in to him from Anthony Biswas.
With a further few chances being spurned by Biswas, the game ended 7 - 0
