This wekend Mystic Rick informed everyone by text - and yet it still had the same effect ! lol.
The stand in Keeper Nick was delayed and Kai was half an hour late - Nevertheless, it did not detract from what sounds like a very good game of football.
Ben was made to stay at home - following a day off sick from school and his disobediant Dad taking him to training in only to set his recovery back and the rest of the week off school. Needless to say Mrs.K put her foot down this weekend in a bid to assist Bens recovery to school and next weeks game.
Dean said Ben was suffering from XBOX itus.....until I informed him....He was actually just taking the PS3 !!!!
Fortunately the team now has some resileince with Keiran and Nick both able and willing stand ins. It was Nicks turn this week - Well done for stepping up to the plate !
Also A BIG Thank you to Starlands NEW Touchline reporter Clark Kent...aka Dean the scribe... I will not edit his version of War & Peace ...other than to reduce it from the lengths of War & Peace...and how he describes ' HOW IT WAS IN HIS DAY...and WHAT HE WOULD HAVE DONE...and HOW GOOD WBA are !@!"^£%"&!....But seriously thank you....

Early team news Nick in goal even though late. kick off delayed ! After 5 minutes Starlands found themselves 1 -0 down from a great edge of the box finish. They were very nearly 2 - 0 down albeit for a goal line clearance from Jed.
Josh had his shot cleared from a corner...by Luke !?....Eh?...is this sabotage for the Seasons top scorer ?!?... a bribe?
STarlands started to play much better, the midfield were linking up realy well and the two forwards were chaing everything...( I can only guess that was Azza and Oscar?!)
Oskar has a shot from the edge of the box ...but the boys find themselves 2 - 0 down following the lazers no.10 dribbling around Kieran and scoring.
Starlands score but oskar is off side...again lots of pressure especially from oskar who is making himself a real nuisance and narrowly misses with a header !
Kieran then hits a pile driver.....from the edge of the box and it goes just wide !
Its all starlands and Azza just puts one wide too ! The reporter cant believe we were losing...If the goals were to the right by 2 foot we'd have been 6 up !!!!! But with the dangerous Lazers No.10 there was always danger on hand.
However,.....HANDBALL !...penalty to Starlands and Marcus slots another this season.
An equaliser follows from an own goal after a great run by Callum and the defender turns it into his own net
half time 2-2 .....a great come back richly deserved.
In the second half early chances for both teams....the No.10 over runs another mazy run.
The turning point was our achilles heel...or should i say Jeds knee !....regrettably he was forced to retire again. Lazers quickly capitalised scoring two quick goals killing the game. He was replaced by Kai who continues to hustle and bustle...
A big shout out to Tony who managed to run the line wearing x 3 jumpers and a coat !....
A really good effort by the boys but the LAzer No.10 was the difference. ( I did say a week or so ago having watched him single handedly beat the other Starlands team he was one to watch.,...and I did pass this message to Rick.,...however it was by telepathy !.)....is there anyone out there????
MAN OF THE MATCH was Oskar.... Big thanks to Nick...and Well done to all the boys for making a real game of it. Oh and thanks to Dean our new reporter...as good with pen as he is with flag !
