A disappointing performance from Sinclair United saw them slump at home to Banbury United Youth in a highly-charged encounter.
United never really got going in the division one encounter at Hanwell Fields and despite going 1-0 up through Luke Butterworth, they went in to the break 2-1 down and two further goals from the visiting side, coupled by two penalties and a poor refereeing display compounded their misery as they went down 4-1.
Steve Nash made two changes to the side that beat AFC Bicester last week, with Josh Nash returning to the starting line-up to partner Clark Miles up front and Paul Rogers coming into midfield.
As with their recent home matches this season, United struggled to get into the game and deal with the well organised back four of Banbury United Youth but a moment of madness from their goalkeeper nearly saw Miles break his duck for the home side.
The ball was passed back to the keeper and after taking a few touches he decided to take the ball out of the box before he was dispossessed on the edge of the area but Miles narrowly put the ball wide of the open goal.
And it was from further pressure from the home side that saw them break the deadlock in the 20th minute. When a short ball was again passed back to the keeper, Butterworth showed great determination and desire to nick the ball and scoop it into the empty net.
The goal should have calmed United down but rather than last week's performance, their inability to keep the ball meant they were always prone to pressure on Toby Jones' goal. And Banbury United Youth were to get their deserved equaliser in the 30th minute.
Following some pressure on the home defence, one of their defenders hit a fierce drive from outside the box which thundered back off the crossbar and the striker was quickest to react and head the ball past Jones, despite attempted offside calls.
It was the signs of things to come for United as they still struggled to get on foothold on their most physical opponents. The visiting side were to then go ahead for the first time in the game with another attacking move which saw the ball fall to the midfielder on the edge of the box and he drove the ball past Jones.
A torrid first half saw Nash made instant changes for the second half. Jason Pritchard replaced Paul Rogers in midfield and Ben Riley came on for Clark Miles, with Butterworth pushing up front with Nash and Riley partner Karl Woodcock in the middle.
And for the first time in the game it was United that started to play their attacking brand of football. Pritchard had the first best chance when a move down the left hand side saw the ball drop at the edge of the box but the midfielder couldn't keep his shot down.
But any thought of a comeback was nearly dashed when referee Rod Haddrell penalised Luke Jarvis for a foul in the area when it looked like he had won the ball before the player.
The frustrations of the United players became apparent with every decision the referee get, but from the ensuing spot kick Jones ensured justice was served by guessing the right way to save well to his left.
The game threatened to boil over with both sides bemoaning the referee's decisions and Banbury United Youth was to get their third goal of the game in the 70th minute.
Following a long ball down the right hand side, Luke Whitehead was beaten to the ball on the by-line and it was put into the box with the striker beating Jones high at his near post.
The home side continued to make efforts to get back in the game but another penalty in the 90th minute all but ended the contest in a frustrating contest. When the ball fell to the striker in the box, the referee alleged that Jones had once again taken the player before the ball and from the ensuing spot kick the striker put it away.
It was the complete opposite performance from United, after their great result against AFC Bicester last week. The frustrations threatened to boil over throughout the game in an uncharacteristic performance but Nash will have to get his side back to basics as they face Highfield Old Boys in another home encounter.
