The sun slowly rised over a scene that was soon to witness a quick fire hat trick from a King and very nearly a child death!!!
With the absence of the Brothers grim, big decisions had to be made. Like a certain manager at a famous team in blue the manager was at war with his players. New signing Dave called him the C word before a ball had even been kicked. Mark King was asked to spray some deep heat on the manager’s troublesome groin, only for him to spray it on his balls.
Another player by the name of Ben Smith refused to play and did not turn up.... Ahhh anarchy in the camp. When you think all is lost the chairman hands out a vote of confidence and a glatico signing in the name of King.... Long live the king I hear you cry.
What is the difference between Paul Scott and Status Quo? Nothing, they both have to many comebacks and a terrible eye for fashion. Scotty’s latest comeback involved a desperate diving head and a poorly ankle. Total time...10 minutes.
The brick was the wall in goal today and put n a performance that Les Sealy would be proud of.
We started ok, and before long were a goal behind. This season we are yet to take the lead. We were back level soon after when King junior latched onto a ball held of a few players and finished with aplomb. He was soon to have a second when Army {remember him} played a great cross field pass to space, King junior chest, touch goal....
Other half chances came and went the old King had a chance charged down, while `The lump` Foley also saw a shot beaten away. However before long the hat trick was completed with his best of the bunch, a dropped shoulder here and there and goal that had the keeper rooted to the spot. A good half on a bobbly pitch that questioned everyone’s touch.
The second half should have seen us score a lot more however a combination of poor choices, passes, finishing and c••ts being greedy saw us only add one. Zac scored his first of the season and deserved his goal after a game that saw him do a lot of work for the team.
Although the opposition were weak, we managed to get back to basics this week. Shane and John were strong and took no risks, Army and Chrispy looked to add more than defending to their games. Dave. Kept it simple, while Kinger put his usual shift in. Foley and moi tired in the last 15 min however they had done their job. More importantly up front we had goals and outlets for long and short balls.
Next week will be much tougher, however if we stick to the task then we can look forward to a good result.
MOM King Junior~ Looked dangerous from the word go, and killed the game with a hat trick in 20 minutes.
