New Season, New faces (well!!!!), which in turn brings......Hope, i think..

Our first pre season took us to the home of the infamous Burton Bobble, and the bobble would claim some new victims today.

The start of the season herelded the arrival of new players, There was a debut for one of the new faces, Dave who knows Mikey through the car windscreen cleaning business. The game also saw the return of Kinger The ummm KING, Scotty to Hottie was to make a return sporting a womens hair cut (According to Ellement Junior). And lastly Gef returned in his matching Polo shirt, watch and cock ring.

Crapper also returned after a failed attempt to play for a better team. After witnessing his training attempts in the week i was wondering if he had ever played football in his life, to quote Harry Rednapp (who happened to be at St Peters on a Wendsday night) ''The lad looks spent, also he is a total cunt''. Harsh but fair words from Harry.

The game started with a 4-4-2 formation, and the early stages of the game were typical pre-season fair. Ball bobbling all over the place, players exerting lots of energy and a lack of any real passing or quality.  Burton were camped in our half for the first 10 minutes and there pressure paid off when Potterys number 11 was caught napping and their striker fired in just beyond Les fingertips.

The second goal for Burton came after Barry and Zac had some half chances after good work from  Gef. A simple ball over our back four caught us napping, and their striker went around Les (Who was laying down for some reason) and slotted in.

This stirred us and we had a sustained period of pressure with some good work on the left from Meggs and Kinger saw Kinger spring free only to pull the ball slightly behind Barry.

Our first goal was a very well taken goal from Gef who pounced on a poor clearence from their goalkeeper and slotted in from 30 yards. This was after some good pressure from Zac and Sally, sorry Scotty.

Half time came and more changes were made, these changes seemed to invigorate us and we scored two quick fire goals to give us a 3-2 lead.

The second was after some selfless play from Smudger down the right, which resulted in Zac cutting in on his left to fire a rocket past the flalling goalkeeper, great strike with his left foot.

Our third was the goal of the game, a good flick on from Scotty resulted in a high ball that Kinger pushed down for Gef who guided in his very own WMD into the top corner.

We could of and should have gone on and got a couple more, Liam, Crapper, Chrispy all had good chances along with Scotty who fired just wide.

However it was not to be as their impressive number nine fired in an equaliser with 10 minutes to go.

In reflection good performances from everyone (including Mike) who played in differing postions. Shane is looking more and more composed in the centre back birth and is not far from being the first name on the sheet, howevernot quite MOM this time.

MOM- Gef - Stylish return resulted in two very good girls.
