In a bruising cup encounter u12 Whites secured a 2-0 victory against Ramsey Raptors.

The match, showcased the tactical prowess and determination of the Huntingdon side, who emerged victorious on their opponents' turf.

Noah White manned the goal, shielded by a back three comprising Reuben Zimmermann on the right, Henry Smith in the centre, and Josh Cooke on the left.

The midfield was anchored by Sam Godfrey and Jack Edwards in central roles, flanked by Jacob Wyatt on the right and Roman Lawrence Alexander on the left.

George Smith led the line.

The substitutes for the match included Stefan Maresi, Magnus Kristensen, and Will Stewart.

The match began with an early scare for the Rams, as Jacob Wyatt struck the post within the first minute, signalling Huntingdon's intent.

George Smith followed up with a shot in the eighth minute, but his effort was saved, keeping the scoreline level.

However, the breakthrough came shortly after, as Sam Godfrey unleashed a stunning long-range strike from 20 yards in the 11th minute, finding the top corner leaving the goalkeeper absolutely no chance and giving Huntingdon a deserved lead.

Huntingdon continued to press, with George Smith hitting the crossbar in the 14th minute, showcasing their attacking prowess.

Jack Edwards also tested the Rams' goalkeeper, but his shot was saved in the 20th minute, and just two minutes later, he struck the crossbar again, narrowly missing the chance to double the lead.

In the 24th minute, a tactical substitution saw Stefan Maresi replace George Smith, as Huntingdon looked to maintain their momentum.

Roman Lawrence Alexander then came close to scoring in the 27th minute, hitting the post, but the first half ended with Huntingdon leading 1-0.

As the second half commenced, Huntingdon made another tactical change, bringing on Magnus Kristensen for Sam Godfrey.

The Rams who were very physical struggled to find their rhythm, but did pose questions with the constant long balks over the defence but Noah White was out to clear on many occasions.

In the 32nd minute Maresi's shot saved and Jack Edwards missing the target in the 39th minute.

In the 40th minute, Huntingdon made a crucial substitution, with Sam Godfrey returning to the pitch for Henry Smith due to injury.

Shortly after, George Smith re-entered the fray, replacing Roman Lawrence Alexander, as Huntingdon looked to bolster their attacking options.

Magnus Kristensen continued to threaten, but his shot was saved in the 44th minute.

Jack Edwards also had a chance in the 45th minute, but his effort was thwarted by the Rams' defence.

In the 48th minute Ramsey were awarded a dubious penalty, which they went on miss.

The match saw another substitution in the 51st minute, with Roman Lawrence Alexander coming back on for Stefan Maresi.

In the 54th minute, Kristensen once again hit the post, demonstrating Huntingdon's relentless pursuit of a second goal.

Finally, in the 64th minute, Roman Lawrence Alexander found the net, scoring from close range after a well-timed short pass from Will Stewart, sealing the 2-0 victory for Huntingdon Town.

The team’s solid performance was highlighted by the contributions of Sam Godfrey and Reuben Zimmermann, both of whom were named players of the match for their outstanding displays and also Noah White in goal.
