Greensleeves succumbed to their first defeat in ten games as The Dugout proved a bit too sharp for them.
Dave and Elliot returned to strengthen the side, with Lewis taking the gloves.
The game started well, and it was not long before Greensleeves took the lead. A slick moved ended as Dave fed Matt who slotted home. 1-0.
The rest of the first half was fairly uneventful, with neither side carving out any clear opportunities, although The Dugout did have a lot of possession.
Greensleeves almost extended their lead shortly after half time. Elliot managed to take the ball past The Dugout 'keeper, but could not fire home from an angle.
The Dugout equalised straight from the restart. Poor marking enabled The Dugout forward to have a free run on goal and Lewis could not prevent the finish 1-1.
A second almost identical goal was scored by The Dugout shortly after and Greensleeves had it all to do going into the closing stages.
They applied pressure, had a number of corners in succession, and were thwarted by the 'keeper on a number of occassions. Dave had perhaps the best opportunity but he fired over from close range.
In the closing minutes The Dugout scored their third on the break as The Boys in Green piled forward and left themselves exposed.
Greensleeves need to make sure the marking is sorted out for their next fixture. As they progress up the leagues this gets more and more important.
