Beckett League Premiership A Result ?? ??Snainton Despair?? ?? Snainton Rabbitohs Soccer Club - 3?? ?? Goal Sports - 2??- Grzesiowski, Peet ?? Geoff Osguthorpe Accounting MOTM - Curtis Foreman Attendance – 32 (4 away fans) The Goal Sports Giants get their sorry, lame ass soccer douches sent back to Pele Park, Pindar, as they drop another doozy in a 3 to 2 L at Snainton Rabbitohs soccer franchise club on Saturday. A game lacking in quality, but not in blood, sweat and in the Goal Sports management – tears, saw Lewis Hunter flash glorious chance of a no bouncer over the top of the Snainton horizontal white beam on 12 minutes, after great work by Ives down the right. The same Wide Guy outstripped the deefense of the enemy shortly after, bearing down on the home soccer goal at a great rate of knots, but his strike flew past the far vertical white beam and the sheets remained unstained. Both sides booted the soccer ball round to each of their buddies for a bit, with a ton of throw ons (pleased to say no felony throw ons), and on 32, the home side Snainton Soccer Club had their first effort on Bowns goal. Veteran Rob Holt tried to take the game by the short and curlies as he turned on a six pence, which in itself is a bit weird, as we don’t even have a 6 pence in our currency and the saying must date back to the old days, so from now on we probably should use a different coin, but I digress, as Holt turned and absolutely thunderc*nted it with his left duke, just over Bown’s left upper 90, and very close to hitting the back of the soccer goal interior. A minute later, and it would be the Giants who would be inside the soccer goal, as Ives came to life after a “flowing” move down the right, and the in form purple playing in fluo yellow, knocked the ball back for the onrushing Jordan Peet who finished with aplomb, pulling out his trademark griddy celebration for his first official goal, after a stellar off season. Pint sized Plumpton beat Giant sized Snainton’s Webster in the air, but the real action came between 33–38 minutes as the Giants gifted the hosts what turned out to be the game with 3 real doozys. A long ball from an off the side felony, deep in Snainton territory was won by Webster 25 yards out, he was obviously real pleased not to be marked by Plumpton, as he flicked it on with a head kick for a buddy to chase. Chase they did, as some guy ran past, and through the Giants deefense unchecked, as the away deefense guys obviously lagged out, and with a flick of his bonce the soccer ball was over Bown, sensationally staining his sheets and sending the Snainton fans in to raptures. Just zwei minute later the hosts were in front, which for our none German readers means 2 minutes. After gifting a flag kick to the hosts, they made it count on the 2nd occasion, as veteran Neil Fryirs left cleat has always oozed direction and panache, and a swing of it from the cleared flag kick saw his striking buddy have the easiest chance ever from inside the 6, nodding home to give his side the lead for the first time. A couple of pre-seasons ago real Polish guy Raf Jackow played for the Giants, and this must have seemingly played tricks on gloveman Bown’s mind, as another minute or so later Bown restarted the game, passed it straight to Jackow on the edge of his 18, and holy hell broke loose. Jackow jinked and jived as Giants deefense guys ran around like a bunch of firemen trying to get a load of kittens out of a cat sanctuary in a fire, and after his shot was blocked on the 18, it would be rocket boot Fryirs again to do the damage, hammering past Bown and doubling the lead to 3. First Quarter – Snainton 3 v 1 Giants Some guy in an adjacent house to the Snainton soccer field entertained the onlookers with a bunch of TikTok dances which Habib Is’Haq will have enjoyed, he just loves his TikTok, and his phone in general, and after a few minutes of tactical chat the lads were back out there playing sports. A much improved 45 by the Pride of Eastfield club, saw the Giants move the ball quicker, and take the game to the hosts, and after a ball from the centre by Plumpton - Grzesiowski had a great chance 1v1 vs the Gloveman, who stayed up tall and made the denial with his body. A lot of huffing and puffing saw a few golden opportunities to play in buddies come and go, and as the half drifted on it was looking like one of those days. Saturday, I think it was. This time it was the hosts turn to give up a sloppy goal, as again, former Giant Ryan Hunter kindly passed the soccer ball to Frazer Ives in the centre of the circle, Hunter obviously a bit anxious as a few kids were playing cricket near his car and his head wasn’t quite with the game - and with more space than an unwashed hobo with a crippling sweat disorder, Ive’s had all the time in the world to dink the ball for the onrushing Grzesiowski, who this time slammed home in to the SGI and reduce the score to 1. Snainton Rabbitohs Soccer Club dug in, like the Giants they were fighting for their first 3 points of the season, and their back door was firmly shut, until a brace of corners late doors threatened to push them open. The first saw Fields inside the 6 nod over the horizontal white beam under extreme pressure, and the 2nd in the final attack of the game saw Plumpton’s long flag kick go through all, only for Grzesiowski to not be able to find the final touch at the far stick, and the game had gone. A hugely frustrating game by the Giants, who for large parts of the game seemed to be in control, but control doesn’t win you soccer games and the Snainton boys were clinical with the gifted opportunities they were given. Next weekend sees a return of a number of missing Goal Sports stars, and with it changes may be a foot…. ??
