Away league match played on 28 April 2013.
Kicked off at 2:00 PM

Who scored? Who cares? No one! we won aha.

It had been mentioned quietly that we had to beat one of the top three, well we beat one the top three with now a realistic chance of breaking in to it.

An eventful journey to Embrook with Paul taking us all over the bloody place, sure he has a polish sat nav.

The motivation for the game is done by Wokingham as we are totally ignored before the game. *##@#*

Aaron steps in for the holidaying Ding Dong at left back as the only change from last week.

Following on the good form from the previous two weeks the boys settle early and encamp themselves in W&E's half for the opening ten minutes.

A few chances go begging, one to Jack and one to Cammy.

Who turned off the bloody play button because all of a sudden and totally against the run of play they go and poxy score. A simply free kicked lobbed towards the box a flick on and their striker as out for a Sunday stroll just walks into the box and pokes past Freddie, poor poor poor. And bugger me they go and do it again a couple of minutes later again poor defending this time turning backs on a shot leaving Greddie one on one with little chance.

We win the ball we give the ball away that seems to be the pattern at the moment and we need a spark. Harry sends in a few long range free kicks and there is enough in them to give a little hope.

Then the spark, Scott H makes a balls up and gives a free kick away on the edge of the box. Freddie lines up the wall and as the ball is blasted straight at it they stand firm and don’t flinch an inch.

Now back to them free kicks, Harry sends one in from out on the left touch line and rising like a flying river salmon Cameron heads the ball back across goal and the ball flies in off the post.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO you can hear the silence from across the dugouts, well only for a minute as its pretty nonstop from over there. But you can feel it, the tide turning that is, and soon it’s all square, a delightful dummy from Sam sets Cammy clear from half way and with the advancing keeper he does an equally delightful lob into the top corner. Hohoho 2-all GAME ON. LADBROKES........2-1 we can win from here.

Half time, no holds barred, home truths get up get into them win the ball give it to your own team mates and you will win.

Max the plumber is now filling the left back birth, one word...absolutelybloodyfantastic.

The bite is now back, we are snapping into the tackles, Jack after his Rugby excursion on Saturday now has his second wind and he and Bucks are like two dogs chasing a bone. Jordan is solid and quick at right back and its just as well Harry has a big head as all W&E do is launch it long. Scott H is now smashing whatever comes his way. And behind these four the ever dependable if slightly eccentric Freddie.

Arnott and Cale...Abbott and Costello...Little and Large or Rodgers and Astaire, These two boys are now a double act on opposite sides of the pitch, constantly changing and causing mayhem, laughter all with a style and grace.

Steve runs at the right back, hits the bye line and pulls back to cause confusion but the ball is cleared, He then breaks down the right hand side and smashes over. Haslett now on for Sam has a clear run but again the ball sails high over the bar, The scorer then turns provider as Cammy slides the ball through to Steve who duffs and scuffs his shot but who cares it goes in and its 3-2.

It is now tough going, W&E have a wicked throw in and it causes a few problems but the boys dig deep take the sting and stay in control. The tackles are flying in, Jack is booked and then Cammy retaliates to a blatant kick. the ref issues a straight red to Cammy but he didn’t see the first kick so its now 10 v 11.

Does that make a difference.... no.....Steve gets at the right back again cuts inside and lets fly, the ball takes a wicked deflection off Jack sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2.

11 minutes on the clock, to be fair the other team go close a few times but today unlike earlier in the season we actually get what we deserve, a good win, four on the bounce and a happy bunch.

A word for the ref, despite sending MY son off got to say Craig Green was again quality
