Gosport FC away and we went into the game knowing we would end the week top of the table with a win and after three consesive clean sheets spirits were high.
We went into the game without toby who was away and josh who had agrevated his knee and with billy suffering with a shin injury and smithy only just back from a broken coller bone we were down to the bare bone and couldnt afford any more injuries.
Started with a 4-4-2 with sam joined by smithy on the bench.
We started off strong hitting Gosport from the whistle and it only took a min to get are first shot on goal with kieron swinging in a good cross which alfie turned wide with only 1 min played,it showed we were here to kill off the game before half time and on 3 mins we got the upper hand with the first goal of the game, olly made a great tackle at left back playing in kieron who set alfie clear through and after making a great run from out wide he picked out max with a pin point cross which max took in his stride and buried in the bottom corner to make it 1-0.
We started to get a little sloppy from abit of gosport pressure failing to clear are lines but lewis was there along side charlie standing strong sniffing out any gosport attack.
We got the second on 6 mins cameron who the first and second header with center midfield playing it into alfies feet and with a quick one two with ryan s alfie was put through one on one to cooly slot home to make it 2-0, that gave gosport abit of a kick and straight from the kick off they forced billy into making a point blank save from a coner but that was the only thing billy had to do for the rest of the half, we picked up the tempo and on 11 mins after ryan n had forced a throw jack launched it over the defence and found cameron who gambled on the throw to slot home at the near post to make it 3-0 and then just a few mins later in the 14th min cameron got his second of the game with a up and over ball into the box the keeper miss judge the flight of the ball and it slipped into the back of the net to put us in the driving and 4-0 ahead.
We continued to push forward breaking from the back with ryan n and ollie winning tackles under pressure and always looking to push the team forward and had two more good chances to make it 5 first from a short corner kieron played in max who struck his shot against the post and then alfie broke clear but this time found the keeper in good form getting down to make the save and it set us in 4-0 ahead at the break.
Half time due to billys injury we had to reshuffle bringing sam on for billy and ryan n putting on the gloves to take billys place in goal it was the first time billy has had to be subbed but with an important game coming up next weel it was his fitness and health that takes priority.
The second half was much the same as the first we were in total control from the whistle and within the first few mins max gambled on a through ball but dragged his shot just wide of the far post, he was yet again linking up well with cameron down the right and giving the gosport left back a torid time.
It only took us 6 mins into the second half until we got the 5th goal to kill off any gosport fight back kieron swung in a corner which was not cleared by the gosport defence and after falling to jacks feet he didnt hesatate smashing it past the helpless keeper to make the score 5-0 on 36 mins then within the next two mins we created some good chances first in the 37th min maxs cross was turned in by ryan s only to be judged offside and then in the 38th min after ollie played kieron out wide he took on three gosport players driving into the box and picked out ryan s who turned to lose his marker and tap home to make it 6-0 and get the goal he has been looking for to hopefully boost his confidence.
Gosport did test ryan n towards the end of the game forcing him into a good save from an inswinging corner and then from a free kick which he saved well but the ball feel to a gosport striker who smashed it home but to be flagged offside which kept are run of clean sheets to four in a row.
Smithy replaced cameron in the center of midfield with 5 mins remaining just to give him a run out due to only just coming back from a broken collar bone but it was good to have him back as he has been missed.
We run out in the end 6-0 winners putting us top of the league with just one game remaining in a winner takes all game away at WPTs.
Man of the match went to lewis who yet again was a key player in us keeping a clean sheet he covered the whole backline breaking up play and pushing his team forward as a full blooded captain should.
Was another great result lads one more game to go and i know you can do it im proud of you all regardless so lets finish the league of in style and set away on tour as league winners :) up the hawks.
